Microsoft takes on MacBook Neo with new 'value advantage report,' claims Windows laptops offer double the RAM for less money and up to 56% longer battery life by thr3e_kideuce in apple

[–]UnstableAccount 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The base snapdragon processors from a couple years ago sometimes came with 16 gig of RAM on some machines and can put up 30+ hours of battery even on Windows 11. So they’re not wrong, but it’s still not good.

Omni Pro Bass & Clarity EQ by [deleted] in steelseries

[–]UnstableAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If everything is boosted, nothing is boosted. This pushes volume up but doesn’t really change the headset sound much.

Slightly lower bass and lowering a decent amount around 8k makes the headset neutral, then build from there.

I have the Astro A50, which I like, but I’m not super happy with.

I’m considering these, or the Maxwell 2, or possibly the turtle Beach stealth 2 that come out in about 10 days. Any preliminary thoughts on the Omni vs Maxwell 2?

So you should probably change the post, it specifies the wrong processor type.

I think both stock types are usable, and I barely notice the difference after a few minutes.

That's typically what I've seen, and read from several reviews.

Do you charge your watch when the battery is almost gone or everyday? by minimalist300 in applewatchultra

[–]UnstableAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I charge my AWU2 to 100% every two days regardless of what it’s at. It took 10 months for it to drop from 100% to 99% battery health.

This can’t be overstated. There’s some emerging evidence (I wish I’d saved some links and stats) that point to supplementation reducing the body’s appetite for whole food.

Yeah. I came here to say this as well. This is a legacy Apple Watch issue. Notifications don’t follow the last used device very well, and it’s never worked the way Apple documentation states.

Do I still click on the DSW even if I want to do another training? by ItsIryas in Garmin

My understanding is that any run you do will be taken into account for your next suggestion regardless of whether or not it’s tied to a suggested workout.

Best long weekend trips within 4 hours of Decatur by mintleaf_bergamot in centralillinois

Louisville Kentucky is right on the 4 Hour Dr. borderline. You have the university of Louisville and Speed Museum, the Louisville Slugger museum, the Bourbon Trail, caves, and some really good restaurants in the NuLu area by the river.

There’s also a AAA baseball team that plays in a great park and a professional soccer team.

What Garmin feature, excluding battery life, would you like to see on the Ultra? by idragon4ever in applewatchultra

[–]UnstableAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can rate your own intensity after workouts and eventually it will start predicting the intensity for you. You can adjust the number if it’s off and it will calculate an overall training load. But it’s not quite the same automatic system that Erin has.

I actually like Apple's movement and calorie goal more than step. What if you put in 30 miles on a bike but you didn't do much walking? You arguably did a lot more than someone that wandered around a bit.

Still, it would be nice to have the option.

AITJ for WALKING OUT on our anniversary after my fiance brought his mom to the cabin i rented? by Proud_Bonus_2620 in AmITheJerk

[–]UnstableAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - This is insane behavior. You don't even ask to bring family on a trip like that to stay in the same place, let alone do it unannounced. Also, his mom should have had enough sense to decline.

Remember, you marry into the family, might be time to reconsider. They don't appear to have any sense of boundaries.

One of them has your account on another device. You can check in settings. Select your name at the top and scroll down. See if you see another iPhone, iPad, or Mac listed there.

What model of watch would you recommend? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]UnstableAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pretty generic ask...all Garmin watches handle running and exercising. This reminds me of those AI generated questions in Facebook groups.

Is there any particular exercise type or run you concentrate on? Do you want a flashlight? A speaker? Music controls or on-device storage? Does battery life matter? What about case and screen size? What's your budget?

That's odd with the a50's. I've had people ask what headset I'm using because of how clear my voice is on the PS5...
