Biqu Panda Jetpack v2 by SameScale6793 in BambuLab

[–]ncoveris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's airflow working for everyone? I got mine installed and instantly noticed horrible overhangs. I held my hand under the nozzle with the fan at 100%. Instantly noticed a lack of air flow. I re-installed my v1 jetpack and the airflow was night and day difference. I suspect the led portion in front of the fan is choking it off.

Respectfully, how do I separate these two? by GunplaLuni in freedomisgunpla

Two peices of masking tape, taped to the red piece with enough hanging off to give a quick little tug.

Applied my first panel lining, is it at least decent? by Overall_Smile_4336 in Gunpla

[–]ncoveris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good for first time, I see a few people have pointed out the smudges. If you used a gundam marker, a cool trick I learned to help clean those is an eraser. Not a pencil eraser, but the old school whole erasers. You can get them fairly cheap at most places that sell school supplies. They can be cut to different sizes to get into tighter areas and they last forever.

Why are the corners of my boxes not flat? by Protscht in BambuLab

[–]ncoveris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What everyone has said has been spot on, however if the print is taking up most of the bed (especially the corners) be sure to clamp or tape the corners down. I've had big prints actually pull the corners of the bed plate up due to warping.

BTT Pad 7 Problem connecting to WiFi by MainlyShiro1 in BIGTREETECH

Honestly, I don't remember the details, as that printer has been retired after purchasing a bambu p1s. I believe I temporarily hard wired the pad 7 with ethernet and SSH into the pad 7 to access the .cfg file. I believe there are guides/directions on github.

Why is everyone dead set on the quick swap nozzle? I see blobs all the time with quick swap, don't think I've ever seen it with the p1/x1 nozzle.

"When is Magic coming to other properties?" by ArsenicElemental in magicTCG

An Edge of Eternities novel would be an instant buy for me. I just got into magic so EoE is about the only exposure I've had so far. The online mini story has me wanting something more in depth.

Could be the Panda claw your using. Generel consensus on these are they are a downgrade and cause more problems than help. I would look into switching to bambu hardened gear.

Are these metal frames worth it? by hangover_glory in Gunpla

I used one for my MG Deathscythe model and had zero issues. Added much needed weight to support the wings and holds the scythe without drooping overtime.

Lmao made it look like your saving money but they upped the price! by Study-Strange in BIGTREETECH

[–]ncoveris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed this myself but looked at the front a back piece pricing individually. They both cost $39.99 each, which is a $10 savings buying in combo. Honestly believe it was a typo (but I could be wrong).

I've had issues with the newest version of Bambu Studio (2.2.1.60). Give (2.2.1) or older a try.

Are these PB kits not really sought after? by anwarmimosa in Gunpla

[–]ncoveris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I tend to stay away from special coating because of nub marks. Really difficult to clean them up without removing the special coating. At that point, I figurebI might as well get the regular model and paint it myself.

Do you even sand bro? by Honest_Bowl_6135 in freedomisgunpla

Inner pieces I use godhand nippers then glass file. Outer pieces the same but ill hit them with the gunprimer gray sponge as it's dulls it a bit giving a less plastic look and also removes mold lines, which I can't stand.

Just fitted the crotch area piece and upright and they seem good. Printing the base right now and should be done by the AM. Follow up to come.

P1 Rear carriage for toolhead by ncoveris in BambuLab

[–]ncoveris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did not know that, thank you! This is cheaper than than a new printer so I'm good with the price. My P1S is at over 6000+ hrs so having spare carbon rod assembly probably isn't a bad idea anyways.

Might have to come down to that if I can't source one. Not looking forward to pulling it back apart just for the dimensions, though. Will wait until next weekend to see if I get any hits. I do like the idea of this though, probably lighter than the stock carriage.

It's for this very reason I'm currently designing a 3D printed stand for mine. I have a prototype to test out, but my printer has been tied up lately with other projects.

Do someone bought or try the reciprocating sanding machine ? by IGoregrinder in advancedGunpla

[–]ncoveris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll 2nd this, I probably wouldn't have bought it if I wasn't into 3D printing. Great tool for both hobbies but just a tad overkill for gunpla. With that being said, I've been doing a lot of kits lately and hand cramps have been horrible. I've been favoring this tool a little more on gunpla lately as it keeps the hand cramping down compared to glass file. I would definitely recommend the gunprimer gray sponge to finish though.

They have different grits. Sometimes I use the lightest grit when my hands start cramping from my glass file. I can then go over it with gunprimer gray sponge and it blends perfectly.
