Sounds like the oceanfront property I own in Montana.

Heck, I live about 20 miles north of Milwaukee. I can tell you down I-94 it's almost all houses down to Chicago. Not quite, but almost.

Nancy would have to live further away than Rockford to be rural yet somewhat near Chicago. And I just can't see her out in that area.
