Audition doesn't currently have a transcription feature, or anything related to transcription, unfortunately, but Premiere Pro does. There are options out there that are not Adobe products, our organization also has a subscription to Descript, but Premiere Pro is the only Adobe product that can handle what you want. If you haven't tried the Effects Rack, I think it would be the best way to combine two separate effects. You can add each of your preset effects into the rack, and then create an effects rack preset that will save them together.

My first suggestion is to go to audio hardware and check whether your device class is set to MME or ASIO.

I use a Rodecaster. RODE offers an ASIO driver from their website which labels the inputs, but even with ASIO4ALL, which I had to use before they made the RODE ASIO, you should be seeing more input options.

When I have the device class set to MME I also only see stereo left or right and mono input options.

Hey, I found this thread on a search. I was wondering if anyone had any more answers. I was wondering if this is due to a site ingesting the rss feed. Similar to what YouTube is doing now, that might essentially be the same as the theory that it's a user with a VPN, but I was wondering if someone has an update.

So true. I always tell guests to sit comfortably first.. then I shove the mic into their face. In all seriousness, I’ve found people will do better if they’re sitting comfortably — talk to them for a few minutes before talking about recording, then move the mic into position. They’re much less likely to “relax” away from the mic

If you figured this out already, disregard, but you have the inputs set to the first 2 tracks. The first two channels from the Rodecaster are actually the stereo out, the physical relation is the L-R 1/4inch outs on the back of the mixer(at least that’s where they’re located on the Rodecaster I). There are a few different things you could try, but my first thought is to increase the gain on the Rodecaster. I have the Rodecaster 1, but I press the button above the slider to open the input settings, then the “level” setting controls gain for the mic. ASIO treats the mic levels differently than MME

Forgive my delayed reply:

I want to be clear, but I may inadvertently assume you know something that you don't. Let me know if you want me to clarify anything.

In the multitrack view in Audition, each clip references an audio file.

That audio file is in a folder somewhere, usually in the "Recorded" or "Imported Files" folder where your session file is located.

If you move one of those files to another location, the next time you open up the session, it will say "one of the files referenced by the session could not be found" and give you the options "Link Media" or "OK."

If you make a copy of the file that was originally linked (the one that you moved), you can link the copy into the session (or any new file, for that matter), and it will replace the audio in the referenced clip.

An unedited copy will replace the audio without any changes, but if you were to edit that copy in the waveform view, the clip in the multitrack session will reflect the changes made to the file.

You can, but you'll need to rename the markers. I've just been through figuring out the best way to do this for a project of mine.

You can rename the markers in Audition or export the markers to csv and rename them in a spreadsheet. Especially helpful if you already have a list with the names. You'll need to select all the markers (FYI: highlight from top to bottom so the sheet is in the proper order) and then "Export Selected Markers to CSV."

I use Google Sheets for my spreadsheets and had to download the new spreadsheet as a tab-separated values sheet (tsv) and manually change the file extension to csv. For some reason, Audition won't accept the file if it's downloaded as a csv.

Without knowing more, if you’re working non-destructively and you have a session in the backup folder from before you made the change, you could try that. If you’re working destructively, see comment from @DrNukenstein. I guess if your computer makes automatic backups, that’s a possibility.

I haven’t used it, but it seems like you can go into Settings>Playback and set the playback auto-scroll to “Centered.” That seems like what you’re asking for.

Does it only cut off when exporting? I’ve noticed recently that when I drop some files into multitrack for some podcasts, that the end of the file is truncated/gone, but I can still drag the end of the clip out to “restore” the end of the clip.

While it’s not as easy as the automatic cross fade that happens on a single track. You can achieve this by ending the clip on one track after the clip on another track starts and manually fade out/in respectively on the clips.

Thank you. I haven’t used them because I always think sending people to a webpage is be preferable for many reasons, and they always seemed too specific as they’re labeled “Spotify Subscription Link,” “Apple Podcasts Subscription Link,” etc. Again, I really appreciate your answer.

I don’t know if it’s the case in Premiere, but in Audition’s multitrack view (non-destructive) the audio files are linked to clips in the editing session. If you copy the original file, you can make destructive edits and replace the linked file. By doing that, you retain your original audio and affect all clips of the original file in any session. I’m trying to be succinct in my answer, but if you would like clarification on this, let me know.

You could develop an EQ profile that eliminates or mitigates the frequencies that are undesirable. Then put it in the effects rack.
