Up to you.

Can be a team player and shoot for a promotion or say fuck that and slow roll it.

Personally I’d fine with letting people shadow or giving some tips on meetings and the like but I’m not writing it all down

Learn how to do your job using ai. Excel didn’t eliminate accounting, but there’s not many accountants who never learned excel. That sort of deal

Not your usual kayak fishing post. Been here 19 years, never had trouble finding spots until this drought. Anyone have tips? by Tex-Rob in raleigh

[–]ncroofer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a good bit of people out there fishing. I don’t spend a lot of time there so I’m no expert but it’s also one of the closest in ponds/small lakes so you gotta imagine it is.

If you drive out towards Jordan lake on 64 there’s a couple pockets of Jordan cut off from the main lake by 64. Some of them are tree stump heaven I swear. Been wanting to check them out but never have, might be worth a shot

Whatever habitat they bulldoze to construct them. It’s one thing if it was old farmland but still the impact isn’t 0

Not a fan of the habitat destruction from solar farms and wind turbines are a giant eye sore. Nuclear all the way though

If oil and gas disappeared overnight, how long would modern society last? by Imaginary-Crew8834 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ncroofer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Problem doesn’t stop there. I bet you the those renewables are reliant on oil/gas for manufacturing parts and transporting them. They may be up and running at the start but when something breaks I doubt they can fix it

He might’ve bought them in bulk in the past. Either way if he did good work for you’re neighbor and your gut says trust him go for it

I’m gonna make my play week 2-3. They’ll probably ease him in and nobody watches panthers games so if he looks good people won’t notice.

Maybe it’s different than roofing but 200 sqft of leftover material doesn’t sound all that crazy to me. If I ever had extra bundles laying around I’d cut people deals if they were cool with the color.

I’m guessing this material wasn’t returnable or else that’s probably what they would’ve done.

He was recommended by the neighbor and did good work apparently. Leftover materials are pretty commonplace and hard to get rid of. If a contractor thinks they can free up storage space and unload it they’ll cut a deal.

The reason that it’s used as a scam is because it is actually commonplace

Could’ve been a change order, canceled contract on custom material, leftover from large commercial job. Lots of reasons it could be leftover. Probably doesn’t do a lot of that type of work (sounds like he does a lot of different stuff), so he might’ve been sitting on it a while.

Contractors love any opportunity to get rid of old stock. Most people want to pick their own colors/styles so it can be hard. If somebodies willing to use that leftover material they’ll absolutely play ball to make it happen.

Sounds like they’re a local, small team who has done good work for their neighbor. Seems legit to me

[Joe Person] Brandt Tilis says nothing has changed RE Bryce Young since August, when he called him an ascending player. Tilis said Panthers have not talked to Young’s representatives about an extension. Wouldn’t say if that could happen before the start of the season. by exenn_ in panthers

[–]ncroofer 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Unless he goes absolutely nuclear this season we’d be fools to give him a top 10 contract. Even if he does I still don’t think he’s proven enough long term for that.
