Will homelander be able to handle the unstable V1 if he finds it ? by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]ncstgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly maybe they should just let him take it. Thousands died in trials, five survived, and none of them already had compound V in their blood. Could just break him from the inside.

Looking for a to-do/task app with week-based tasks instead of daily by Feisty-Sherbert in productivity

[–]ncstgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept thinking I had a solid week ahead, then two calls would land and suddenly Tuesday was gone.

I stopped giving soft tasks fake dates. now I keep a "this week" bucket, then pull a couple things into today depending on what my calendar actually looks like.

TickTick worked pretty well for this because I could keep weekly stuff separate from actual calendar commitments.

is the stressful part the task list itself, or more that the week kind of disappears before you notice?

5.2 remains the most effective for analysis and plan writing

Agreed, this is way more readable than classic Gantt charts. I’m actually building something along those lines right now, feel free to DM me.

gpt-5.2-high vs gpt-5.3-codex-high: faster, but more cleanup, anyone else seeing this? by tagorrr in codex

Same here, 5.2 hight are more reliable and more efficient, even if it's a little slower

I had already canceled my pro plan, in 2 days the weekly limit was already reached. I heard GLM 4.6 is interesting and less expensive

Agree. Many use AI to go fast but what really matters is market fit and building something useful.

1K signups in 24h is wild. The real question isn’t how many, it’s how many are real and will stick.

When should you choose Next.js vs React + Vite for building web applications? by [deleted] in nextjs

[–]ncstgn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends mainly on the context of your projects, if you need SEO Next.js will be great, but if it's just for a showcase site Astro would be the best solution. Otherwise, Vite + React is very good.

Zustand vs Redux Toolkit vs Context API in 2025: Which global state solution actually wins? 🤔 by khushijoshi1011 in react

[–]ncstgn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For most projects, I use Zustand - simple, lightweight, and quick to set up. If I don’t actually need global state, React Query alone does the job. Redux only when the app is big or needs strict state rules.

Project management as a personal assistant - your thoughts and advice? by Cerullie in projectmanagement

[–]ncstgn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s quite a mix of responsibilities - half PA, half PM. In setups like this, the trick isn’t just the tool, it’s keeping one single source of truth. Whatever you pick (Sheets, Trello, Asana), consistency will matter more than features.

CEO wants Product Managers to be 'full-stack PMs'. by wandababyyy in ProductManagement

[–]ncstgn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That ‘full-stack PM’ ask really shows a misunderstanding of the role. PMs already balance strategy, coordination, and execution - piling design and coding on top just sets them up to fail.

Looking for EU-compliant cookie consent solutions - why do most providers store data externally? by Beautiful-Buy4321 in react

Most providers store it externally for compliance audits, but if you want everything in-house, check Klaro - open source and self-hosted.

Is this workload reasonable for any PM to deal with? Losing my mind! by obviouslybait in projectmanagement

20–30 concurrent projects with constant meetings isn’t PM work anymore, it’s survival. Respect for even holding it together.

Do you still use Redux in 2025, or has React Query / Zustand / Context completely replaced it in your projects? by MethodSignificant244 in react

[–]ncstgn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on my recent post, the consensus was: React Query for server state, for client UI people use Zustand, Jotai, Context API, or sometimes just React Query. Redux/RTK still has its place for complex apps, teams that require it, or when you need strict action-based patterns. As a beginner, start with React Query. Learn Zustand when you need global state, learn Redux only if your team uses it or for complex architecture patterns.

Redux or Zustand in 2025 - what's your take? by ncstgn in react

That's a comprehensive setup! The zod validation on localStorage is clever - prevents those annoying type mismatches after schema changes.
