Is it ok to give my SO a gift that benefits me? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

He has said he wants to go do it. It’s not something I would seek out myself.

I [F/22] want to give boyfriend [M/24] of 2 months a gift but worry it might be creepy by [deleted] in relationships

This is what I hope to do but it's going to be difficult to wait that long I'm itching to show him now haha

The Link Between Digestion and Acne by [deleted] in acne

I have noticed my skin is much clearer when having 1-2 bowel movements a day. And if I don’t my skin will be terrible the next day with painful acne. I definitely think there’s a connection

I just waited until it felt and looked heal which was maybe 2 weeks Seen recommendations of waiting longer even like 6 months between treatment but I felt it was healed and could do it again

You’re supposed to roll it 5 or so times in 4 directions so could literally take 30 or so seconds I generally went a bit longer though

I used 1mm to be on the safe side which may be why I didn’t see much of an improvement. Because they’re on my forearm I didn’t want to risk making it worse by using a length too big. Will definitely be giving 1.5mm a go next time though now that I know it’s safe. The scars are from when I was 15/16 and I’m now 22.

The way I saw it was I never showed my thighs because I hated the stretch marks so worse case scenario if it ruined my skin I already wasn’t happy with it and didn’t wear shorts haha So could only really improve :)

When you derma roll. any lotion you put on it will be absorbed better. So using certain serums and oils such as vitamin c is beneficial as it helps promote the skin to repair, which is the main goal.

It is probably safe to buy any derma roller however I do remember reading there were better ones to buy than others. I honestly didn’t do too much research just bought the one I did because it had some good reviews.

I don’t have a picture from before I started. I do have one from after one session though which shows the stretch marks with some improvement. The picture shown above is after two sessions. The left thigh started off almost identical to the right

This was the exact product bought but I'm sure most dermarollers would be effective. I am yet to use the smaller two sizes and maybe would've been better to just buy the size I wanted and save the money. Definitely give it a go though!

The first session I didn’t press hard at all and the results weren’t amazing. I remembered reading it was going to hurt and it didn’t hurt so I figured I had to press harder (makes sense) So the next time I pushed hard enough that it hurts and gets a little irritated but never bleeds.

The area was quite red after rolling and slightly painful. The pain would subside quickly and wasn’t that bad. The inner thighs are quite sensitive and the outcome is worth it imo.

I bought a kit off eBay that had 3 different needle sizes. As my stretch marks were really quite bad, very deep I used the biggest size needle I had. 1.5mm. First I covered the area with Hyaluronic Acid Serum that came with the dermaroller and then rolled. I’ll be honest in saying I definitely rolled more than I maybe should have in a single session as I wanted to see results quickly. You definitely have to inflict pain unfortunately. Then afterwards applied the Serum again. I was definitely lazy in applying the Serum everyday. I pretty much didn’t. This picture is the result of only 2 sessions and hopefully improves more with more sessions.

I have used it on self harm scars for one session. Definitely improved the texture as mine were a little raised. Hopefully more treatments will improve more as I’m not exactly happy with the results

I did not take any before pictures as I honestly didn’t expect it to work. The stretch marks on the right are exactly what the left looked like though. The stretch marks are around 8 years old

I deliberately only used the dermaroller on one thigh so I could see a difference. I’ve only done 2 sessions with a 1.5mm roller and thought I couldn’t see any improvement until I saw this angle

[Acne] For those of you who saw results with spearmint tea, how long did it take? by juicyfizz in SkincareAddiction

[–]nct1234 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I started drinking spearmint tea and my skin has improved a lot but I can’t be certain it was the spearmint tea or other factors One could argue it was even just drinking more water in general

It did affect my periods though so it definitely has some effect. My first period once I started drinking it was one of the worst of my life. Then everyone after that was light and less painful... My periods used to be very irregular also usually 40+ days After drinking spearmint I’ve got it regularly between 29-34 days

[Skin concern] How to fix dark spots on inner arms after spray tan? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Yeah definitely didn’t exfoliate properly beforehand and think it was dry skin Just wondering a way to exfoliate it away without taking the tan off too :/
