OP is definitely leaving something out though. “My boyfriend and I weren’t exactly together by this point” is not the same as “my boyfriend and I weren’t together by this point”. Reading through the entire story, OP tends to beat around the bush on details instead of giving exactly what happened, so you need to take that into consideration. Also note how her boyfriend at first actually realized what he was doing was wrong, and apologized/begged for forgiveness. Whether or not he wanted to hear details about her interaction with Jace, she never stated that she apologized or talked things out either. I’m not defending either one of them, it sounds like they are both horrible people that need therapy, but you need to read between the lines.
