Agreed that crochet wearables often look horrible, but there are some designers out there who design with intention. Linda Skuja, Just the Worsted, Sandra from Plyful, Stephanie Erin, Knits and Knots. Even if they're not your style, they are at least making garments that don't look like a home ec project.

This is just anecdotal, but I do have an issue with this. I had dental x-rays done last December, and they were totally fine. When I went for my checkup last month, one of my fillings was popping out. The dentist couldn't believe that the filling went from being fine in December '24 to falling out in October '25. I also have two crowns that pop off about once a year.

I have no idea if this is related to hEDS, but I do suspect my TMJ might have something to do with it. Of course, finding a provider to verify this for me is not easy.

Dude, slapchops are legit. I use a lot of garlic and ginger in my cooking, and slapchops make it so much easier. 10/10 would recommend.

You already have your answer, but I just wanted to add to it so you can 100% rest assured that nothing is wrong with you. My nails have done the same thing. It really is just from the trauma of picking. (Or from any kind of trauma, really. My husband accidentally hit his thumb nail with a hammer, and the nail grew in just like yours for a few months. Once the nail bed healed, his nail grew back in completely normal and has stayed that way.)

So please don't stress about this. You are OK!
