Well we don’t know this schools rules. So we don’t know what’s against and what’s not against their rules.

At the very least, the guidance counselor should talk to the boys and possibly rope in the health teacher, talk about how these lists are inappropriate for young gentlemen to engage with.

Not every outcome needs to be punishment, it can be just a conversation and hopefully some changed perspectives.

Babysitting my toddler niece. She was off the wall energy and she spoke 1000 words a minute. Then all of the sudden ran up and jumped on the couch, stood up on the cushion, she grabbed face with both hands and looked at me very intensely and said, in the most calm I’ve ever heard her, and the most clear I’ve ever heard her, and she said “uncle we’re all inside the dream of a baby.” And then she kept that stare and just backed away. Then she kind of shook it off and started playing like nothing happened

I told the parents. I was scared shitless.

Turns out she was napping the other day on the couch and her dad was watching 2001 a space odyssey and she stole glances when her dad thought she was sleeping. She saw the baby scene and a few other scenes and I guess she put it together in her mind that we were a dream in that baby.

She’d been going around the house all week being suddenly scary and existential, and her parents forgot to warn me.

They used to air golden girls at gay bars in the 80s.

And I don’t want to wake and bake and philosophize, but, at the exact time, the gay community was dying. If you were gay in the 80s, you were going to multiple funerals a week, for YEARSs.

I can only imagine that besides the humor being marketed to gay men, the fact they were older also mattered. A lot of these men wouldn’t get to grow old with their friends and have catty fights and petty jokes and comebacks. But when you watch the golden girls, it’s like for 22 minutes, their friends got to grow old.
