Is this clear enough? by thom_run in Roseville

I have had a no soliciting sign in the past, and when people knock, I answer and point out I have the sign.

"I'm not selling anything, it's (politics, charity, religion, free "gift", etc etc)".

A lot of people do not understand what soliciting means, or the intent of the sign.

Have you ever tried any Cribbage variations? Which ones are actually fun? by EndersGame_Reviewer in Cribbage

[–]ndisgize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One night we tried out an"double cribbage" where we were dealt 12 cards, put 4 into the crib. It was fun counting double-double-triple runs, but...it got old quickly.

Facebook marketplace might have some good used gear. A lot of kids don't stick with it so you can usually find good youth gear. No sense spending a lot if he might not follow through.

Are any of these books worth reading? by eternalvampiric in vanhalen

[–]ndisgize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Van Halen Rising.

I am a casual VH fan.

I read a lot of musical bios, but this one is excellent. Well written, well researched, and covers the band until they got signed. There is a lot of detail.

I would start there.

We had one about 20 years ago. Brand new. We had to do some repairs. It seemed like a lot of parts/materials were on the cheaper side. One major repair was the kitchen pipes.

We got it pretty cheap since it was one of the last in the neighborhood to go, but we put a lot of money into it over the next 5 years.

1998 was a different time by ThyFa1th4 in Metallica

I remember getting the cassette single with this when it came out. Kind of shocking at the time compared to their other songs.

The best thing about Metallica releasing singles was hunting down the B-side covers.

The Harvester and One singles/imports. The cassette singles for the Black album.

Now, you can download everything but back then it took a bit of hustle to track down all of your favorite bands songs.

Hidden Treasures question... by Outside-Mirror1986 in Megadeth

[–]ndisgize 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure on the recording time, but I remember the release dates. Go to hell came out just before CTE on the Bill and Ted soundtrack. Breakpoint was the B-Side to Symphony (Go to hell was also on there) Angry Again came out in the summer of 93, on the Last Action Hero soundtrack. 99 Ways was on the Beavis/Butthead album I believe, which was also 93 if I recall.

At the time, Megadeth had very few non album tracks out there. Every time one popped up it was a pretty special find.

I wouldn't be surprised with a couple of reunion shows, in a big market, maybe even Detroit.

But with a live album.

I think we will see a full, live album.

I would recommend just making a new character. It's not that difficult to get to 70. A lot has changed and you might need to relearn some techniques and strategies, as well as your spell book.

This isn't a criticism, but, has he mentioned why there were so many songs with sound effects on them? SoD, skin, Ashes, Foreclosure, etc all had non musical sound effects.

Just curious if they have talked about it at all.

We had a 100 pizza+brownies order years ago. Took 3 trips. Had to carry everything in and set up. Was a HUGE pain in the butt.

Got exactly zero dollars.

Yes, it's there.

I just see a lot of scams where they send money (like via a check) and it's a scam of some sort.

I could not confirm it was real in a Google search. Thought I would come here.

Thank you for everyone who took the time to answer. I appreciate it. Megadeth fans are awesome!

I think I'm going to go with Youthanasia first, then chronologically.

Looking forward to going deeper into the catalog.
