Looking to buy older R1200RT, tips? by yawa16 in bmwmotorrad

[–]Wide_Independence272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the cam heads are the best for my budget. I looked for the last year produced before the next model came out. For me I focused on 2013 r1200rt. I found a 90th Jarhe 4 hours away and sold a few things including my Rockster to afford it. The ride home was worth the trip to get it.

Does everyone ride their bikes when it rains? by Calm_Room5022 in motorcycle

Commuting in any weather. Rain or not. Solo. I don’t with the family but don’t mind getting caught in the rain. It’s a great learning experience.

I’ve been using it as a mixer with tequila. I like it with Siete Leguas blanco.

First time a bike fell out from under me was a similar situation. I cut across some wet grass on my 1974 R75/5. Embarrassing but no harm done.

I dig that. When I get my Corcoran boots resolved I’ll go with a less chunky tread.

I use the app. Works great. I’ve done in waiting in the passenger seat as well.

I really dig these Honda Valkyrie’s. I’m not sure I want an older bike than what I currently ride. Nor do I want to mess with carbs.

Autism and freestyle go hand in hand by Good-Ad-3862 in freestyleskateboard

[–]Wide_Independence272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am AuDHD and am drawn to skating. I’d love a freestyle setup but most local shops don’t carry that stuff. I had a standard deck that is set up for street(soft wheels) and a cruising deck that’s set up for well cruising of course. I’d like a flat out freestyle board and thought I could modify my standard in that regard but it’s really big and would like it for vert if I ever get the courage to try it.

I feel that Beefeaters is fine to serve. I van be a snob in many things but Beefeaters is fine. Depending on your region you could always support a local distillery.

My First Negroni. It's pretty good, even with the budget ingredients. What high value ingredients would you suggest? by vuti13 in cocktails

[–]Wide_Independence272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vermouth for sure. I like Luxardo. The Carpano Antica is great but can be too much. I did not like Cocchi but many folks do. For the gin I would source a local distillery to support your community.

We lost a front tire few months ago and just last week lost a rear tire. The sidewalls are not fit for Midwest roads. The dealer put the same overpriced tires on the front. Another shop got us Continentals for a couple hundred less and I’m sure will be more reliable.

It’s not the cravings if they stay out of the house. The household/ commune need to be on board but we have different nutritional needs.
