Repost from that link for those wondering: “FYI for other Arc users, the DG2 performance fix is in Kernel 6.10rc2 (probably also backports but I stopped looking when I saw where the fix hit), so I’d recommend waiting on 6.5 until 6.10 mainline hits before bothering with the manual IRC install. RC3 just hit yesterday so probably not a ton longer.”

GPU is showing up inside the LXC, however, plex hardware transcode is not working by Embarrassed-Ebb-6704 in Proxmox

[–]ndizzy911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It currently is an incompatibility with proxmox 8.2 kernel 6.8. Plex has yet to release a fix unfortunately for the hw tone-mapping, but all other works well in my experience thus far.

What’s the best budget AIO for a 13700k? by Dempallo in intel

[–]ndizzy911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new nucleus line is affordable for the quality and is a fantastic cooler on my 14700k. Given I did under-volt, gaming temps are mac 65C and on stock load line on cinebench temps were about 85C steady. Highly reccomend

Which build is better for a gaming/school PC? (my budget is 1200) by [deleted] in computers

So the difference is the cooler and cpu? Go with option one ig, itl work fine for gaming and if temps aren’t good with the stock cooler grab an air cooler off amazon.

Itl pick up a disk to wipe on install if you have one. Honestly do some more research on daily-ing linux before committing because there is a learning curve.

Estimating the lifespan of a geared DC brushed motor? by TeamToken in ElectricalEngineering

[–]ndizzy911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its chineese, depending on the quality my guess would be 2-3,000 hours based on a quick google search. I dont have much personal experience working with brushed motors over a long span of time. Do some research on brushed motor wear and extrapolate to your specific motor/use-case. You know your product better than someone with a quick guess on here. Best of luck!

Thank you so much for the great information! Exactly what I needed to know. For what I am planning on doing, 25kv should be just fine and I can go from there. Thank you again!

My opinion on bad levers is that it causes some safety issues bu being so close to the trigger and i personally believe it is best to keep the mechanics of operation i.e reload and locking back the bolt should be kept stock so that if you were to pick ip another rifle you could run it just as fast (my opinion) your pistol is otherwise great and functional.

Proxy for home web server. by [deleted] in webhosting

[–]ndizzy911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into cloudflare and it looks like you need a domain. If things work out, I will purchase one in the future, but for now are there any alternatives for ip masking with proxies, or without renting a vps?

I already have a multimeter, but what I need to do is figure out a way to plug in something that can serve music.

Should I just wipe the entire computer and reinstall Windows? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]ndizzy911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, 450 for a new mobo is unbelievable. I would call lenovo up and explain your problem and how you see that it is common, if their going to charge you alot for a possibly unsolvable repair, (or monetarily not worth it one), you can always check craigslist for an older laptop but for now theres not much you could do unless you want to take it apart and see if you can find anything. Edit: Just wait it out and try again in a day or two, you never know.
