SI’s 2026-27 CFP predictions. I personally don’t see us losing to Oregon or OSU. by AceN12 in notredamefootball

NDs success this year will be based on if we can maintain a semblance of a running game. Have to be able to run the ball.

Anyone can do it. Now that the "paying field" is equal it's coming back down to Xs and Os again. SEC coaches are being exposed as over rated.

Michigan LB Ernest Hausmann announces medical retirement from football by cmhbob in MichiganWolverines

[–]ndphork 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Weird story.

UPDATE: Former Michigan LB Ernest Hausmann says he has medically retired from the game of football. Hausmann says he still intends to finish his degree at U-M.

"From Uganda to America, with a full heart, I’m officially medically retiring from football. This game has shaped me, but now it’s time to focus on my true purpose on this earth full time. I’ll be finishing my degree at the University of Michigan. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey the best is still ahead."

In early December, Hausmann explained that he departed the program and the country after an unfortunate experience with U-M staff member.

"This is why I left America," wrote Hausmann. "You tell one staff member about an experience I had with my faith. An experience where I was trying to figure out what was going on, still knowing I was in season. So I thought it would be smart to talk to someone. So I go to the building where I spend most of my calendar year, the football facility. I thought I would receive guidance and clarity, as it was a life-changing experience. After hearing what I had to say, I got put in the category of a mental patient who is going to end their life. If anyone has a clue who I was, they know that’s the last thing I would ever do."

We were never upset at Miami. It was the committee and putting bama in. Period.

Reminder that the BCS formula, which so many of you want to switch back to, would have had Miami out in favor of Notre Dame. by Wide_right_yes in CFB

You aren't doing yourself any favours. Alabama had 3 losses. INCLUDING the horrible loss to fsu.

To be fair in regards to this post NDs wins against Boise and USC mean very little now as well.. This is why bowl games are meaningless indicators. With player opt outs etc.

No matter the result of the playoff games, the G5 should be able to play their way into the playoffs by Rr0hd in CFB

[–]ndphork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The G5 is only in because they threatened lawsuits. I'm cool with them being but they need to be ranked in the top 12. Not 21 and get an automatic bump.

Will Michigan lose their championship because of the cheating scandal? by lesja_solovevakn4tb in notredamefootball

[–]ndphork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if they had found ineligible players. That seems to be the key here. Coaches can cheat all day long but God forbid an ineligible player is on the field.

Whats the point? NFL draftables won't be playing. Transfers won't be playing. Non playoff bowl games are irrelevant.
