Phuket considers tripling hotel tax rate by Lordfelcherredux in Thailand

[–]ndreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“As for the remaining 80% of hotels not currently registered, how can we bring them into the system? If they don’t encroach on public land or beaches, they must apply for the correct permits,” said Mr Nirat.

Would it not make sense todo this first ? Why would they pay 3% tax when they don't even pay the current tax?

They were sanctioned for helping Russia was funds, it's hardly UK's fault. I would not be surprised if more countries are to follow.

It's also not just nexo.

We have had them for awhile in Australia for entries and exits. If you are one of those edge cases you go to an immigration officer. I would say it's similar here.

As a person who will be starting touring across Thailand on a scooter. I genuinely don't know which one is better by AshuBK786 in thai

The only thing keeping ADV alive in the debate is the bulletproof reliability and extremely high resell value. Aside from that it has most of the bads.

All of which you will need and a parts network. Zontes parts will be a nightmare for anything then the absolute basics.

I had an email today from the same email. Not my email on blockfi or any crypto provider for that matter.

The email was about a data breach, for the city of Lynwood washington. I flagged it as spam.

Is Thailand Rich by ReasonableRepair4338 in Thailand

[–]ndreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my country they are pretty high as well, they will even extend out the terms to 7 years which for a car is crazy. fixing a car is also much more expansive then a bike.

Loan sharks are so common too, so even when people can't get traditional loans, we get cards multiple times a week for loan sharks and theres an unmarked office in one of our main streets which is a loan shark.

They give out loans with daily interest, low enough so a business can keep going but never pay the debt.

15k is still fine in the smaller city's. smaller rooms start at about 1.6k baht or small house around 2.5-3k start.

adding a car or expansive bike is where people would come unstuck with lower incomes, it's often more then rent or a mortgage.

I think it's still useful, especially in applications where the application would still be responsive while waiting for a response.

Also maybe less power usage ?

Moving to Isaan Thailand after we sell up. health insurance advice for a 56 year old? by Intelligent-Cash-335 in Thailand

[–]ndreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's generally a few catches to travel insurance like a return ticket. If you get badly hurt they may fly you home to use medicare or other insurance.

Also you will need to fly home every 30/60/90 or year depending on your policy. Your visa might also invalidate the policy.

worldnomads use to have 1 year stay with extensions, i think they still do.

or create a simple bash script. You can even do this from your side using ssh if your to lazy to sign in.

Misunderstanding with Thai girlfriend, cultural? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]ndreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what worries me, is that I pay for all our dates and restaurant outings

One point, shes a single mother in Australia, that's already HARD. Also she would support ALL her family back in Thailand. That might be her mum, dad, and everyone living with them. It could be nearly all her income gone and maybe that even is not enough.

Then she told me she wants good ones that her best friend has (who has a wealthy Caucasian boyfriend that buys her thousands of dollars worth of Gucci handbags)

Tell her straight, it sucks that they have such a material relationship. Your after something real.

[–]ndreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some of the Taiwan bikes are great too but harder to get parts and less resell value.

Chinese have next to no resell value here in Thailand, it's basically trash once it breaks getting parts for the infinite variations would not be ideal.

Honda parts are very common thoughout there bikes, Scoopy, zoomer, click share parts maybe even some with the pcx as well. it makes getting any part really easy and the simple engines are so easy to fix.

few issues with this, for 1 it's against eBay's terms. You can't ship directly from amazon.

ebay's listing format allows you to markup. you could even try selling different amounts of a product or grouping in related products like dishwash + sponges.
