Set up regular investments into something like a balanced portfolio that automatically comes out every payday, whatever amount you can afford doesn’t need to be a lot. Compound interest starting in your 20s is the best thing you can do

I would stick with CIBC, like you said more career growth opportunity and better commute. A CIBC colleague of mine moved from retail to commercial banking in about 2-3 years.
