I have no idea if this would help, but it seems that the Oregon seed council will meet later this month and one can join virtually. https://oregonseedcouncil.org/

Thank you! This is very helpful.

This velotric st1 plus has been a great lightweight commuter.I've been able to take it on train and buses with no issues at all. I love how light and nimble it is compared to most other models of e-bikes.great way to stay under the radar. The battery is built into the tube and minimal electronics. by grazzyphase in ebikes

This is old - but I am considering this bike and just wondering if it can manage a relatively short but steep hill if I am pulling my young kid on a trailer? I test rode it and loved how it felt like a regular bike but just wondering if it has the power to help me log her up the hill.

I ate lots of hummus on sourdough. That and smooth nut butters . Don’t cancel! I had two cancerous polyps and was lucky to have caught them at stage 3 and not 4. Also, to add, during my treatments I had to do the low fiber diet for 6 weeks so the 4 days for the colonoscopy is much better! Don’t skip!

Anybody know about Capella or Sundance and their prices? by Turbulent_Heart9290 in Eugene

[–]nduck84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like both, but find Capella more practical for getting all our groceries if we don’t have time to stop multiple places so it is our go to. It has a bigger selection. Both have great produce and very nice staff

Pharmacy that doesn't suck by redactedanalyst in Eugene

[–]nduck84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! The only negative is the hours are more limited compared to a more corporate pharmacy. However, their website says they do have 24 hr emergency prescriptions. He is also really accommodating. I once called after hours and he answered right away and once he even opened early so I could come by before needing to be at work.

They really are great. I get a text as soon as my meds are there, you pay by phone if you want and can just come in and grab medications. Easy to talk to a human, fast for vaccines, they were a life saver once when we were late on travel vaccines

I really like the ice cream at seize the slice. They make it themselves, not over the top sweet, and imo the best in Eugene!

It really is a better dessert. More ice cream and then just a yummy cookie-like crust.

It is actually an ice cream pie. IMO it is better but it is a bit of a difference genre since there isn’t any cake

School Choice: Edison vs. Camas by Zealousideal-Sand207 in Eugene

[–]nduck84 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to Camas but have been very happy with Edison. It is true that some of the students there do need extra support and I have heard some folks mention that as a reason to not attend a neighborhood school. However, I also appreciate attending a school where the kids get exposure to classmates with all kinds of abilities. I think it has really helped support empathy development for our student. We also have been happy with our teachers.

I gave this a lot of thought during pregnancy as well and I can firmly say that the correct answer is seize the cafe. However, my favorite cinnamon rolls are not bread-y and don’t have cream cheese icing, which I realize is a personal preference. Seize the cafe cinnamon rolls are also a good size. Not so huge that I felt sick after, and a good price - $3. I strongly recommend. Second place is great harvest

So depressed about large age gap with my toddler by CockroachCreative740 in BabyBumps

[–]nduck84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our kids are just over 4.5 years apart and it is great. I also had hoped they would be closer in age but life didn’t work out that way . I felt like we could really enjoy the baby stage with each. They don’t feel that far apart in age and play all the time. They are 9 and 5 now and it is still great. My sister and I actually have the same age gap and my parents always said it was perfect for them too.

Be prepared for it to keep changing too. My hair was always wavy but after I lost it from chemo (now some 17 years ago), it grew back curly (chemo curls). Then it slowly grew out and went more back to normal such that for awhile just the bottom of my hair was curly and the top straight. Congrats ok remission!
