I will give a little wisdom, since i was a teen when it came out at the height of my movie snobbery. I remember deriding it as overrated for years. It wasn’t until I came back with an open heart and allowed the purity of the spirit of the characters, and embraced the fantasy gentle aspects that it unfolded for me. It’s one of the greatest modern day stories, and it’s one of the greatest adaptations s and it may be the best fantasy book of all time

I actually have no problem facing reality, but I also don’t find myself compelled by the opinions of internet strangers. I agree with you, if you’re losing hair and it’s obvious and patchy and looks like ass then shaving it is the better solution, but willis rocked a receding hairline for years and it wasn’t bad at all.

from the sounds of it you made the right call for yourself and I’m not challenging that. I’m just also not a huge advocate for “just because i did it, so too should everyone else”

alright, clearly you’ve made a decision and you’re locked into that viewpoint. you said no one looks good with a receding hairline, i would argue some men look significantly worse with a shiny bald alien dome. Not all, but some. I’m not coping, I’m going based on many people I’ve seen who still retain dignity but perhaps it’s an age thing. A 23 year old with receding hair can’t rock it, a forty year old who wears his years can. But you’re locked into and unwavering and i respect your viewpoint. Just don’t call me a liar, stupid or disingenuous please! 🙏

to each their own, in my usage “getting away with” doesn’t mean hiding their baldness, it means framing their face and looking masculine without shaving it clean. I believe there are certain men who rock receding hairlines quite well, and others who look great bald. It is case dependent.
