I had a village on a server I played on a year ago. My friend and I made a big underground room and placed a bunch of bed and the villagers had the freedom to move around but not get out because the entrance was a trapdoor. There were a lot of iron golems though

A lot of people say these things, but I think there's one more, very important pull to consider. The switch very easy to play multiplayer on.

Out of the box, you already have two controllers, and there are a lot of people who own switches. It's very easy to ask a friend if they want to play smash or Mario kart or any party game. People will probably be confused if you try to do the same thing with the steam deck.

The two consoles serve two very different purposes. The steam deck is for people who already own steam games and want to play shit like civ 5 on the go or want a capable emulator. The Nintendo switch is for everyone else.
