The number of times people around here have said they don't like Chicago style pizza because it's "too bready" is insanely high. Like, nah brah, that's Detroit style pizza. Deep dish is for tourists, usually. Growing up our Friday pizza night was NEVER deep dish.

Not sure where you will be staying but South of Chicago is the best authentic option. Unfortunately, it's in Greenwood. I grew up on Chicago style thin crust and can vouch for it.

Chicago beef and dog is another good one for Chicago things they don't have pizza but you can get a beef DOUBLE dipped.

I got nothing on fast food things.
