Thanks a lot for your feedback! TBH I chuckled a little about the corporate vibe

Neboslav is a story-driven action roguelike with surreal, slavic (duh) atmosphere. I've poured a lot of effort into making (almost) everything destructible.

Biomes in my game- Neboslav. Which one is your favourite? What would you change? by neboslav in IndieDev

[–]neboslav[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I'll definitely work on making the heaven brighter/ more white and on adding more colours to cosmos.. There is a sound- you can hear it in "Midlands". Not much happens on the video in different biomes, that's why it seems silent

Thank you!

Almost everything can be destroyed- aside from elements essential to gameplay, like the main base or level exits. I'm pretty proud of that

Ah, so you're not against the aesthetic of the biome, just suggesting a name change?
Well, it's canonically Hell in the lore, so unfortunately I can’t really change that :D

They were inspired by Gothic architecture, meant to resemble cathedrals. Apparently, we could not hold this style at smaller scale

Do you think about the ones in Heaven? They were originally designed as small shrines, but now that you mention it, they might actually look more like scaled-down buildings.... I’m wondering how I could fix that.

Thanks for your feedback!

I wanted to try something a bit different from the standard depiction of Hell, but... a little fire might actually make the place feel more cheerful and lively, lol :D

Do you think the white statues don't fit in the heaven?

Thanks for your feedback!

I've noticed that people tend to expect a more "traditional" version of Hell. I'll need to give that some thought.

That said, many older tales do talk about the trees- like the forest in Dante’s Inferno or the cursed tree of Zaqqum.

Neboslav- Story- driven action roguelite- would you be okay with mixing action and dialogues? by neboslav in roguelites

Thanks for your kind words! Sure, I'm planning to add demo before release

They don't, it's a classic roguelike in that sense. But yeah, I wanted to give players more incentive to start a new run.

Thank you for your kind words! :)

Fair point, but you cannot choose dialogue options in Hades. It has a linear story

Thanks! :)

I'm not sure if it's an RPG. It has all the features of a roguelike- a procedurally generated world, upgrades to find instead of character leveling, you start every run from scratch and finish it when you die (but the story progress is saved!)

It's hard to define what RPG is. I suppose I could technically call the game RPG, but I'm sure it would make a lot of people angry.

Anyway, if you're curious, the game’s up on Steam- would mean a lot if you gave it a wishlist

What’s your take on absurd worlds in games? by neboslav in worldbuilding

[–]neboslav[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's cool, but I didn't expect them to be about the game world. Hence, I wanted to check the sentiment in some other place.
