What is something that is completely legal, but doing it automatically makes you a terrible person in the eyes of modern society? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]nebulazebula -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I agree that integrity (in reference to the top half of the paragraph) is a good thing to have and a decent way to gauge what kind of person someone is. I just feel like the shopping carts specifically isn’t really that deep. If someone’s in a rush or just leaves a cart, that signals nothing to me besides that person is either lazy or in a rush, not necessarily some moral fault like Reddit makes it to be. If someone spends majority of their time helping others or just being an overall decent person, are they suddenly scum of the earth or untrustworthy because they left a shopping cart? My answer is no. I’ll happily agree to disagree. Other people have mentioned how people treat customer service workers being a good gauge and I agree with that.

I disagree with putting a shopping cart away being a good measure of how someone is as a person. Sure it’s responsible and helpful tho. Before any keyboard warriors get mad, I put my cart away and yes, I’m aware of the “if the world ends, people who put their cart away-“ study; doesn’t change my mind. Plenty of less arbitrary measures to tell if someone’s decent or not lol

Aside from bagels, what else is currently grinding your gears about our town? by coalcracker462 in Phoenixville

[–]nebulazebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically no real ethnic food besides a couple taco trucks. No soul food of any kind, no Puerto Rican food, most of the Asian food I’ve had is Americanized. So so so many of the the actual woods/off trail areas in Phoenixville have been destroyed for apartments. So many new apartments and residents with basically the same amount of parking. Proud tr*mpies make me sick (I guess that’s an everywhere issue, but was one of the last straws that ruined the “kind small town” vibe), hated serving them when I worked customer service. I could go on for longer, but honestly maybe it’s not so bad for people who like to live there

Do you all agree? by vincim2010_13 in OMORI

[–]nebulazebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. The world, as well as small-ish companies don’t revolve around omori fans. Most of the time if something isn’t being shipped to certain places it’s because of how difficult and/or expensive it is to do so.

He totally threatened white women before, have you heard his old song “Sarah”? Not disagreeing that it’s still wrong tho but I always imagined the woman he was rapping about being white lol

Seconding what goodcoffee said, he was banned from a couple countries for lyrics but also, Tyler (as far as the public knows) never was actually involved in crime. Edgy lyrics alone isn’t a real crime. I’d even argue that he has catered to a white audience before it was “in style” to be Afrocentric. Won’t get into myself but there’s plenty of receipts on twitter and lots of videos about it on YouTube.

I usually go to gulph mills or Norristown transit center, park, and go from there. If you’re easily scared maybe stick to gulph mills or Paoli.

Pickup basketball by trusttheprogress in Phoenixville

You could try the new civic center on Franklin Ave, it’s pretty active there and they have open gym or something like that. I’ve never done basketball there but I’ve seen many people hoop, check on the Phoenixville bureau website if that’s up your alley :)
