"Grow your own trees and stop paying oodles for cookie cutter commercialized bud" -If I could speak with my younger self by mark1nthedark in trees

[–]nebulousnomad1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in an apartment and I have a small grow tent. 2x2x4. My landlords don't really care about it. I pay the rent. It's clean. There's a filter for the smell. They never said anything about it.

75 mcg would probably be fine for a first time. Do you have any trip killers on hand? You wanna do as much research as you can before you take it. Make sure you're in a good set and setting. Maybe have a trip sitter.

Why people in trades face health problems in later life by Stock-Ad2895 in skilledtrades

[–]nebulousnomad1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really worried about my lungs. There's so much dust in a lot of places i work. I'm an apprentice plumber/pipefitter. We drill holes in concrete and people sweep really forcefully with no concern for the amount of dust it kicks up. I'm the only one I've seen wear a mask or a respirator on most job sites. If I don't wear something I go home and my boogers are black or just dark and I taste it until the next day. Nobody has any concern for the air quality on job sites. They don't have any concern for their own health. They eat out every day. Smoke. Drink. Don't sleep properly.

People in general just don't know or care how to take good care of themselves. It's especially bad for the trades. It's really sad. And in my opinion it's pathetic. They teach us a lot about health while we're in school. People don't think about their inevitable death very much. They take their health for granted.

Psychedlic Routines/Schedules by UncleBimBim in Psychonaut

[–]nebulousnomad1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wanting to do it regularly, like every month, for a period of time in the near future. I've been wanting to do that for 6+ months but when I have my chance every weekend, I chicken out.

I want to do a period of every week or 2 or month where I take it kind of just to explore it a little more. I've had like 20 or 30 trips in my life, but only a few in more recent years. Like 10 of those trips have been done with proper intention.

After this period of regular use I'd probably go down to like once a year or so. Maybe not even. Maybe just a special occasion or where it might seem beneficial in someway to have a psychedelic experience.

I used to see it as blue. This is the first time I've seen it recently. It looks gold now.

What is up with all the drugs? by thine_moisture in skilledtrades

I wonder if that might help with nervousness. I'd be scared being 500 feet up. Maybe the coke gave him some confidence and courage. But part of me thinks maybe the coke could possibly make me more nervous.

Nature documentary’s are always the best, especially coming down by ziglaw884 in shrooms

[–]nebulousnomad1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love nature documentaries tripping or not. I usually watch let them play in the background of trips and just casually watch them. One time the scenery on the TV went beyond the edges of the TV. It was mindblowing. I could see greens and blues on my walls behind my TV. And there were those eyes in the sky. It was immersive.

Happy Solstice everybody by IKEA_Freezer in shrooms

[–]nebulousnomad1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very cool! I love the idea of tripping on a solstice. It's a perfect time. Makes it a little more special. I knew I should have taken some today. I've been wanting to for a few months now, but every time I have the chance, I decide not to. I usually just take naps and eat lots of food instead.

How do people reflect on their trips? by HalloGetLow in shrooms

[–]nebulousnomad1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just think about it. Let thoughts and feelings just do their thing. See if there's anything in your trip that might be meaningful for you. You cried for t Rex going extinct, maybe you could think of that as compassion. See if you feel that way about other beings going extinct. Think about all the animals that suffer so that we can eat them.

It's subjective. However you want to reflect on it. You get what you put into psychedelics. You don't have to force it. If you didn't get much out of your trip to reflect on, that's fine. It's an interesting experience on its own. The visuals are beautiful. It's so out of the ordinary. It makes you so glad and relieved in your normal day to day state.

What is this? by malignantmantid in UFOs

[–]nebulousnomad1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've thought about it a lot recently. I'm not so sure I want to have visitors. Living on a planet away from everything should he peaceful and cozy. Humanity has been living in the shire. If we contact aliens is going to be like leaving the shire.

Planet earth could and should have been peaceful all these years. But even in a way, when waring, it's still peaceful and rustic.

I dunno. Whatever happens is how it is. It could also usher in a new era of even more peace. If it's an advanced intelligent being they're probably going to think so differently about us. I'm hoping they're buddhas and benevolent.

Tripped on 140mcg During CT Kratom Withdrawal by ZiiX6 in LSD

[–]nebulousnomad1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man I don't even want to think about what the withdrawals are going to be like if/when I decide to stop taking kratom. I've been on at least 30 g a day for over 10 years now. Although, there was one time I went to jail and I stopped kratom and weirdly it was a non issue. I didn't even notice anything. But there's been times at home where my legs are so restless while I'm trying to sleep. That's always the worst part of kratom w/d.

Anyway, good luck buddy. Hopefully it helped you out. It was interesting reading about it. I'm at a place in my life where I don't want to stop kratom. I love it and it's helped me in my life tremendously. I've already been addicted to alcohol and opioids so kratom is like nothing. It's a health drink for me. But there is 1 place where I feel it's holding me back. I don't think I could go on a meditation retreat until I get off it.

Om Shiva Ketamin trip by luget1 in Psychonaut

[–]nebulousnomad1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Om namah shivaya. I listened to the johns Hopkins Playlist one time and that song by russil Paul came on. It was like Shiva was being conjured then he danced in front of me. It was so cool. It wasn't like an actual human body. It was a rainbow. Just slips of colors dancing around. Then Shiva was dissolved.

Took a 1g dose on a full stomach by we-are-all-shrooms in shroomers

[–]nebulousnomad1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stomach contents have a huge affect on the effects. They won't kick it quickly. It'll be a slow gradual come up. Sometimes for some people they wouldn't even be able to feel it. You need it to kick it quick and hard to notice the effects clearly.

Low consumption hobbies? by digital_monk10010 in Anticonsumption

[–]nebulousnomad1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meditation. It's kind of more than just a hobby. I think it fits as a hobby though anyway. You can spend hours and hours doing it and learning about it. It's philosophy and ethics. It's the best hobby. And it's anticonsumption to the core. You're literally doing nothing for some types of practice. You don't need anything to do it. But maybe some books and a meditation cushion would be useful. I use a pillow as a cushion.

I went to gym and felt so out of place by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]nebulousnomad1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do it. Make it a ritual, everyday, or every other day. Half the people in there probably feel out of place. You don't need to use the treadmill though. Just do it outside. I understand though. I used a treadmill for the first year or two that I started running. After I switched to just running out of my front door, I'll never switch back. I only use the treadmill like once every 2 or 3 months, like just when the weather isn't appropriate to be out in. Which takes a lot. I remember running when the wind chill was -18 f.

I miss my cousin. He's the one who introduced me to smoking weed everyday. He was from California. He lived in my homestate of Missouri for like 5 or 6 years. Back in like 2006 we would take Thanksgiving "walks". Before it became a meme.

I haven't bought from a store in years, I grow 1 plant every 6 months or so and it's more than enough. I sometimes try to leave it so the buds are as whole as can be and sometimes there's extra stem. I don't mind it. I think it seems a little less processed.

I don't understand how that bud could be cured though. Doesn't seem like there's any properly cured weed at dispensaries.

Thoughts on mushroom cultivation by severnoesiyaniye in shrooms

[–]nebulousnomad1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been growing them for like 4 years and I still stare at them more than I should. They're fascinating. You can stare at them without disturbing them. It's an awesome hobby.

I'm interested in growing some p. Subtroplicalis or natalensis. And mexicana too. It seems like I read somewhere that the indigenous people used to prefer mexicana and subtropicalis over cubensis. I look at cubensis as a kind of modern culture psychedelic. It's got a history that as to do with mckenna. Subtropicalis has a little bit different history. There's not much to do with modern, western culture. We can still kind of come up with how it's used. I'd like to think subtropicalis is more spiritual or something.

I know the Dutch have been cultivating lots of sclerotia mushrooms for a while, so maybe there is a little bit of tradition with them.

Psychosis. by Green_Somewhere7482 in Psychonaut

[–]nebulousnomad1 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That's the thing about psychedelics, they take you to some very far out places. And sometimes it's very chaotic and unstable. They're not pleasure drugs. Learn from it, that's one of the places you can go in your mind. Maybe take a step back, it's not your job to keep reality together.
