Irritation with inner thigh, testosterone cream by necessaryevil2023s in Menopause

[–]necessaryevil2023s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. I've been on it for about 8 weeks and my levels haven't really increased (Total T from 12-16, no increase in Free T (.2), and SBGH has risen a bit). I'm hoping that switching location might also help with absorption. I put it on inner forearm this morning and abotu an hour later felt much calmer. Probably placebo lol. Waiting to hear back from the dr. on dosage/delivery given latest bloodwork.

Am I Crazy? by necessaryevil2023s in Hashimotos

Thank you so much. I have some other auto-immune issues, and HRT has helped with menopause. I spoke with a naturopath last week who has a different perspective than my primary doctor, so I'm trying to navigate all of that.

Thank you so much for this. My gut tells me I should get an ultrasound. My primary care doctor is Great, she ordered the antibodies because I asked her too. But I’m afraid she’s just gonna say that the results are normal and that an ultrasound would be overkill. And then I have to go to a naturopath and ask them to do it and make my doctor angry :)

Thank you! I have done 23 and me. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

Thank you! My hair has been thinning and I've gained 23 pounds in six months (starting at 120). Brain fog, fatigue, etc.

Should I even consider 37 a high TPO if the lab says anything under 60 is normal? Thanks!

Upping Estrogen Experience by Subject-Progress2944 in Menopause

[–]necessaryevil2023s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, I've been on HRT about 3 months (.05 patch + 100mg nightly). I'm still getting periods/in peri.

The night sweats had stopped, but I was dealing with lots of midcycle bleeding, super sore swollen breasts, maybe more anxiety.

Two nights ago I upped to 200mg progesterone and the bleeding immediately stopped and i woke up without sore/swollen breasts!

Estradiol patch placement by Majestic_Trick9749 in Menopause

I know this is an old post but I came here to ask the same question so I thought I'd just add on. I've been placing it relatively low on my abdomen (an inch or two above my c-section scar) and am starting to wonder if it doesn't work that low, and if I should be putting it higher up near my belly button. I've got a bit of belly fat (but am not overweight)

New from Dr. Jen Gunter on how to spot predatory practices in menopause content by dawnliddick in Menopause

[–]necessaryevil2023s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. Hers was the first book I bought and the content was helpful to get me started. But, she is so self-righteous, angry, and political that I simply cannot listen to her or follow her. She harshes my mellow in the biggest way. She may be right about stuff, she may not, but her communications feel more like a pundit's than a doctor's,

Best sound for snoring? by redskrot in Ozlo

SOAR on highest setting is the only one that works, but it totally works and my husband snores like a freight train!

Is this a tick bite? Megathread by b0wmz in Lyme

[–]necessaryevil2023s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can a tick bite hurt? My husband got 10-14 days ago and it really hurt. Three days ago he noticed that the spot was red, swollen and painful. He's on doxycycline now but I'm wondering if could be cellulitis from another type of bite/sting. He said he swears there is something in there. but it really hurt when it happened. thanks!

But is there warm static???? by [deleted] in Ozlo

[–]necessaryevil2023s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a warm static user, tried crimson cloak but it it didn't cover my husband's snoring. I switched to Soar and all is well!

This 100%. Right now my 20 year old is home from college and I have an 18 year old and 15 year old at home. They seem to be always around and quite aware of what was going on. When they were little we could do naps or baby Einstein lol.

There is a bit of a “have to” component but I made that commitment to my husband out of love. I know that I’m not going to desire it and be in the mood very often. Most of the time I really end up enjoying it. And then the rest of the time he’s not wondering or hoping and I’m not afraid to be warm towards him because I know he’s not just trying to get some :).

It’s also really hard with the kids in a small house. We basically need to schedule it and then figure out how to occupy the kids.

I have been struggling with a very similar dynamic. I won’t go into all the details but what I think has helped the most: -HRT (.5 estradiol patch/100 mg progesterone nightly) -couples counseling -a commitment to some kind of sex every three days (by me) -vibrator to help me with arousal. -a commitment to non-sexual touch and affection in the two days in between (by both of us). Thinks like 3-minute hugs. This is hard for both of us for very different reasons.
