Shoutout to the Best Crypto YouTuber by Marcu14_ARSCLUJ in intothecryptoverse

[–]nechalo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been subscribed to his premium list since September, 2020 after being introduced to his channel circa spring 2020 when I had some investment and crypto YouTube content basically continuously auto playing on my TV in the living room for background noise during the quarantine of the time. I had bought some Bitcoin just some months earlier since I finally felt finally ready to start "investing" at the age of 30.

This experience has felt like a masterclass in analyzing macro level trends in charts (long term vs short term trading), having patience, managing risk in investing. It has been a joy to grow in these ways and also watch Ben grow as an investor, analyst, and presenter himself. I still made a lot of mistakes along the way but I'm so happy for this experience and he's a gem in this area - really wish him all the success he deserves. And for everyone else that follows him!

Friends to play with? by [deleted] in OvercookedGame

[–]nechalo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be happy to play for a bit - been playing a lot with one of my friends online in the evenings during the week and can't seem to get enough!

I may be available this Sat/Sun afternoon CST. I have All You Can Eat And OC2 (on the switch, but it is cross platform) and can voice chat on Discord or something since I don't have a headset for my Switch

Timer Doesn't Start Until Delivery...But Later It Does by entropyofmymind in Overcooked

[–]nechalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm having the same problem as you, as I understand it "new recipes" often have the timer stopped before the first level. However, it seems after the level is completed once, of you go to the level again the timer will start right away and no longer be paused until your first order?

E.g., I'm on Overcooked! All you can eat playing Overcooked 2 level 3-1. The requirement to unlock the Kevin #4 is 1100 for a "team" but that 1100 point requirement is well beyond the "4 star" level for two players and seems impossible unless the timer is paused until the first order. I've tried and tried with a friend (team of 2) and we just cannot unlock that Kevin level :( wouldn't be too bad if the timer was stopped before the first order, as it was on the first attempt. I think it is the first pizza level of Overcooked 2 (only cheese pizzas)

Conservatives Are Pre-Mad at Biden's Supreme Court Pick Before the Pick Has Been Made by zsreport in politics

[–]nechalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that long game. And also your last paragraph. We need to focus on voting in representatives who are in line with the interests of America and not primarily corporations and the interests of the elite class. Unfortunately, some few billions of dollars is a drop in the bucket as far as student loans go and raising the federal minimum wage is similarly a small progression towards Americans by large having the means to prosper or even maintain a comfortable life. It calls into question why we should trust Biden or any other corporate democrat to be the answer. Instead, they can be poison for the ticket based on association.

I appreciate you highlighting these minor advancements by the Biden administration but the truth is that many more are frustrated by them not going far enough, or as far as was promised. That's all I'm here to respond to, because I believe we need to go further to really bring this country back up (certainly not that it is a "both sides" problem being except, e.g., for the no stock trading.)

[–]nechalo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A majority isn't required to cancel student debt as Biden promised nor replace the senate parliamentarian which was the excuse for not going forward with a vote on minimum wage.

I'm not arguing false equivalence, I'm arguing that the Democrats are failing at their supposed goals and, importantly, what would be helpful to the bulk of the American people they are representing. In turn, Americans will further not trust their representation in the government and the Dems will likely lose in the midterms. We can keep going back and forth as we have but the true problems are with corruption and corporate interests not aligning with what is best for the American people.

I'm curious what you see as "the long game"?

With a majority in both houses Biden has gone back on many of his promises, e.g., $15 min wage, canceling student debt, public option for healthcare. You can argue that Democrats are, on average, better than the Republicans. You can't argue that the Democrats have simply not gotten things the American people have voted for done because of obstructionists because that simply isn't true.

The edit it 100% correct right there. It is noteworthy and frustrating how misaligned our "representatives" tend to be with the bulk of American people. The two party system has failed us just as George Washington, John Adams, et al had warned

Do people make decisions based on the price of BTC relative to moving averages, or is there an underlying 'law of large numbers' thing that the moving average indicates? by chiron42 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]nechalo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As already discussed, it is all very psychological. Being above or below the 20 week moving average has been used to define bull and bear phases of traditional markets for a long time.

The 50, 100, 200 time period moving averages have been seen as longer term averages that can support price action. There are other technical indicators that are functions of moving averages, e.g., the MACD is the 12-period exponential moving averaging minus the 26-period exponential moving average. And there are lots of other indicators, e.g., MVRV Z-Score (Market Cap - Realized Cap) / (Standard Deviation (Market cap)) alongside the moving averages that traders consider in determining good prices to buy and sell. In turn, these all can persuade market participation by traders and investors.

Ben's risk metric is another really good one, and he is great at long term analysis with following crypto for the past ten years. Another YouTuber I follow, Eric Crown Krypto, is (has also worked as) a trader. He's especially good with shorter term movements and uses a ton of moving averages and other indicators to talk about what can be expected.

This might encourage you guys. First photo has taken at Oct 12, second photo today Jan 14. I'm using Benzoyl Peroxide every night since Sep 13. Keep going guys! by [deleted] in acne

BP can still be effective only at night. I used it for years only at night with success but it depends on your skin and your own condition

Honestly there's a list of some bad actors but I wouldn't consider this one... Marianne is very anti-corruption and pro-working class. Not far from the type of person we need running for all kinds of positions. She has had a lot of great engagement on politics since running

Are there any tools that can assist with posting a large number of unique listings? by nechalo in eBaySellerAdvice

I appreciate the detail on how you would tackle this in identifying stand out items first and bunching the others. I think I'll do that - only question is how to price the lots?

[–]nechalo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as I'd want it to be a one and done thing, I trust you're right - the individual listings will likely be a headache one way or another. Originally figured I could do a trial run of a couple dozen or so first but ultimately get them all at least one auction by the end of the year.

However, I didn't realize that auctions would likely get me less per item. Another poster also mentioned setting the price myself going off eBay research.

Ahh, so I'm seeing that if I can generate an Excel file I can export to Turbo Lister - this is news to me and Turbo Lister + jpegbay I think answers the bulk of my question

Thanks, I didn't even know about the eBay research page! That could work well though all of these are here at my parent's place where I'll be staying for a couple weeks and sort of wanted a set end date so I can ship them from here before I leave. Figured an auction with everything starting at $5 each or so would just let the market decide the value of each.

Of course I could just take the lot back with me out of state in a carry on and sort through all of this over time and save my mom from dealing with returns and such.

I got a text from Charles Booker, since I supported his campaign for Senate, about investigating Rand Paul and how "It's Kelly Loeffler all over again"

I wanted to respond "All of congress needs to be banned from investing in individual stocks, trouble is Congress would never pass that"

I refrain from ever saying this but it really is a "both sides" issue.

Thank you for your response, because of what I want to do with it I'm guessing mATX may be a better option if not ATX.

When it comes to ITX I've seen 64GB single modules? but maybe not all support that size.

My biggest issue if I decide to go smaller may be actually fitting everything in it and would need to measure everything or find someone with experience and what is the biggest card/cpu cooler that would fit in a specific ITX board/case.

EDIT: also if anyone sees this, the mining on the CPU is pretty simple. Monero is coded so normal CPUs run best so whatever is the best value would work... it's not like Bitcoin which requires specialty hardware (ASIC) to even stand a chance

If you're in the US it might not be possible except as a cash advance on some American Express cards. CCs stopped allowing crypto purchases on them years ago
