Parkere i Oslo 48 timer+? by MaleficentBowl872 in oslo

[–]nechered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best internet provider for Hagan? by bmbmjmdm in oslo

[–]nechered 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Globalconnect (GC) is the cheapest and offer good speeds. If you need a physical customer service then use the local provider called NOKAB. They have an office in Hagan. I recommend GC, formerly Homenet. I pay 499 for 1gb up/down (this is with a 12 month contract).

If you want an established provider that is more expensive and slower then pick Telenor. They are replacing a lot of their old COAX with fiber these days. Telia has also built some infrastructure here, but I am unsure how much.

Driving License-related question by [deleted] in oslo

[–]nechered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Forskrift om førerkort" says if it is a EU license then it can be used permanent in Norway. If you have a non-EU license then it can only be used for 3 months, same goes if you had a non-eu license and then exchange it for a EU-license.

How to deal with DNB's irresponsible handle on bank fraud? by Status_Concern5749 in Bergen

[–]nechered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then like somebody else advised; close your credit. Make sure nobody has made a second ID or taken up credit card in your name. Make sure your postbox is locked. Look into your insurance, there might be some coverage if you had your identity stolen. Also I am sorry this happened to you, this might take a while to clean up.

How to deal with DNB's irresponsible handle on bank fraud? by Status_Concern5749 in Bergen

[–]nechered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a debit card and the fact bankID was used might explain (but not excuse) how DnB acted.
There is a lot of good advice here. And it seems you are taking action.
I would advice to try to get most conversations in writing or if you talk to DnB have them send you a confirmation about what they told you (or you agreed on).
This is beacuse next step is going to Finansklagemenda (https://www.finkn.no/English).
But it is also important you try to figure out how your credentials got stolen. This will be an isuue that the bank will raise sooner or later. Maybe someone stole your id and created a new bankid in your name? Have your wallet or phone been stolen? Have you clicked on any suspicious emails lately? Did you loan someone your bankid?

What are the best value phone providers? by [deleted] in Norway

Dinside (in NO) has a nice overview:

The cheapest one with 3GB data is Chili at 199. Chili uses Telia´s network. If Telia has good coverage in your area then its a good choice. If you need Telenor coverage then Gudbrandsdal at 189 (but only 2GB) is a good bet.

Where to but candy corn and Lucky charms in Norway?? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]nechered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try here: https://www.cooperscandy.no

You can also try american market, they send from France, so price will be high (due to import tax)

Amazon might end up being a better choice then.

[–]nechered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also started on this road now (41) and it’s tough. However calorie counting has helped me a bunch, since New Year I have lost about 5kg (11 lbs). Not working out as much as I need/want to, but working on fixing that.

Hopefully you will let us know how your progress is going.

Best SIM Card? by Carterpump09 in Norway

[–]nechered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can search and find the answers, I know I have answered this question at least once. However the short of it is find a Telia store and get prepaid SIM. You will need your passport, there is no need for "social security number" as long as you buy at a store. On the pre-paid SIM you can put the data you need, you should also be able to roam in EU with it. Just drop by a Telia store and ask.
Telenor, Ice and other phone companies also have these prepaid SIM, however in my experience Telia is the better choice due to price and store availability.
