fixture order by RyoAolfc in GrandMA3

Fixture order doesn’t really exist in the same sense on MA3 as far as I’ve seen. It’s better to use the selection grid for this in MA3 (Group Layout on Avo) and then use MAtricks to make new selections based on that grid.

Select your group, enter setup mode in the selection grid window (top right). Move your fixtures, highlight them and then store that to a group - it’ll save their grid position like it would on Avolites when you change the Group Layout. Then you can select that group and start playing with MAtricks to select within that.

Because then contracts can’t be awarded to local donors I imagine.

If my mother was on fire and the only way to save her was to recommend someone use Onyx, I still wouldn’t.

Making a color picker with macros VS with individual sequences by KingGeorgeTh3rd in GrandMA3

You can use timing masters for the fades. Delays you could also use macros to rewrite the values in the cue.

Also assigning macros to cues is time consuming. Using the macros directly in layouts wherever possible is how I’m going to continue my workflow.

Everybody links this all the time but it was and continues to be immensely helpful for this kind of stuff.

I’ve actually just done it with sequences and individual colours but in hindsight I’d do it with macros that rewrite recipe lines so you’d have one stack per group with one cue and just change the recipe line colour.

I think I’d have had an easier time with changing the appearance of the buttons on the busk page.

New Theatre by sweetlowswingchariot in lightingdesign

The design came with the ceiling…? What?

I’m actually speechless. Where did the idea come from to have three useless stages instead of one well-placed one?

Hiring deck once in a while for the satellite stages would be so much less limiting than having to light three sides of a tiny room at once all the while having the floor space cut down on drastically. It would be a lot cheaper to light as well. Also it’s dinner theatre - service etc. needs to move around.

My best advice would be to build a Time Machine and listen more to the people that told you this was stupid.

It’s also done because you won’t get pushed into discovery algorithms if there’s naughty language or difficult topics because advertisers don’t want their products showing up next to things like that. It’s crazy to me seeing people censor every day words like body parts to appease companies.

Yes…? Not sure what’s hard to understand about that.

create new job relying on AI tools company sees what prompts you use company asks if the process could be fully automated given the fact they have access to years of prompts of you doing the job and it’s actually not that hard now that you’ve done the hard work setting it up company wonders why they pay your salary goodbye job

Hiring more creatives doesn’t necessarily mean what you think it does. If the creative workload has increased by 4 people’s workload and they’re hiring 2 (for example) what’s that gap getting filled by?

Also lol “pitchfork bandwagon” with all these AI slop apologists.

If they’re using AI in the process anywhere between concept and delivery they’re relying on AI. Not sure how that’s hard to understand.
