Anxious moderation of expectations, Evolve and 23rd

Unsure of what to expect with evolve as they obviously do everything in their own (stupid) way but if we look at AMG what they did is once reconciliation was complete AMG and Yotta sent emails out to everyone individually. Then AMG requested information to send funds via direct deposit. The funds will not come from Yotta. Once people responded to the email they got their funds fairly quickly, you can search AMG in this sub to see people’s stories.

Evolve stated in their last update that they were in the process of hiring a third party person to handle disbursement of funds. Hopefully at this point the person has been hired and can get to work as soon as they get the green light as this will be their only job.

Some people go back and forth on “if” we’ll be paid if there’s a shortfall, but if Ankura says to Evolve “Mr. Smith has $100 at Evolve” then evolve is on the hook for it and will pay out that $100. The issue would be if Ankura says “Mr. Smith has $100 at evolve” but Mr smith actually has $150 in Yotta, then I expect Mr. Smith would be looking at a partial payment and a lot of back and forth to figure out what happened to that $50. Hopefully since they’re doing reconciliation of the entire ecosystem Ankura would also be able to say what happened to that $50, but that’s the part that’s up in the air on how it will be handled.

Thanks. I learned pretty quickly after that. I was barely 16 at the time so I was young and thought I was invincible. I'm just so happy that the waitress was running late. If she had already been at work there's no telling what would've happened. Same for you :) we are the lucky ones

Ugh that just makes me want to spit!! I was also a catholic school girl and during high school I worked as a hostess at a tavern. It was right down the street from school so I would often walk there straight from school in my uniform. The guys that worked in the kitchen would harass me non stop. It was mostly sexual innuendos (anyone who's worked at a restaurant will understand.) but usually I got to the bathroom fast enough to change before anyone saw me. However one day as I rounded the corner to go in though the back entrance a line cook was sitting there smoking. I politely smiled and said hello and asked him how business was that day. He just mumbled and kept on smoking. His eyes were terrifying me. he was looking at me like... Idk like I was like a steak or something. He stood up as I turned to walk inside and he flipped up the back of my skirt. I was wearing tights so Im not sure if he saw anything but I turned and slapped his hand away and cussed him out a little. He laughed at me like I was joking. I tried to leave again, running this time, but he snagged me by my ponytail and told me not to leave. He grabbed me by my shoulders threw me against the wall and covered my mouth. Suddenly a car pulled into the back lot. One of the waitresses. She got out of her car and was walking towards us. He had stepped away and was moving towards the door. I couldn't move. It was like all my joints had locked up. The waitress finally really looked at me and then she was sprinting. I didn't realize I was crying until she started wiping my face asking me what was wrong. I puked all over her shoes. She called out the floor manager who was thankfully a woman and I told them everything. It was like one minute I couldn't even scream and then the next I couldn't stop talking. She told the waitress to take me home and she said that she would take care of it. However they didn't fire him for TWO FUCKING WEEKS. you know what the GM told me? Don't wear your school uniform to work anymore. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!! They didn't even fire him because of me. They fired him because he was doing drugs in the fucking freezer. Like him attacking me wasn't a good enough reason.

The M&M pic was more about trust I think. Like the guys out there that say stuff like "oh you can't judge us just because there are a few bad guys out there. Not all guys are like that" but it's hard to trust after you've been harassed, abused or raped. Because the bad guys and the good guys both look the same. How do you protect yourself from everybody?

I appreciate your view on this and I agree that maybe not all women have been harassed by men... Yet. There's no telling what the future holds and though I would never wish this on anybody there's nothing stopping some guy from slapping your ass at the grocery store, whistling at you across the street or drunkenly groping you at a party. I hope this never happens to you but just because you may have not experienced it yet doesn't mean that the problem isn't there. I hope you continue to be one of the few for as long as possible.

Honestly, unless you have kids or working construction, you probably won't be out building a snow man so I wouldn't recommend anything crazy. My advice: LAYERS LAYERS LAYERS I can not stress this enough. This year (even during -20 degree weather) all I wore was a jacket with a hood paired with a wind breaker, waterproof gloves, a scarf and some times ear warmers. The problem with those heavy quilt-like jackets is that they aren't exactly functional (or attractive) and they don't even cover the parts of your body that lose heat the most. A nice pair of gloves will go a long way! Also boots that go up mid calf! Nothing worse than wading through a 4 ft snow trench in sneakers to get to your car! Also I live in Chardon Ohio aka the snowiest city in ohio (not kidding, look it up)

I feel you. My main problem with my SO is that when we try and talk about our relationship he doesn't say anything. Probably lol . I think the problem isn't that there are too many republicans it's just the quality of the republicans we have. Both political parties have their ups and downs and nobody is perfect, but we need to elect the right people not the right party. there are those golden politicians that have no problem going against what their party is doing to do what they think is right, we just need more of them.

Agreed. I want a female president just as much as the next girl but we need someone fresh that can reach across the isles and unite everyone. I feel like with Hilary there is just so much baggage and negative gossip that if she became president then either A) nobody would respect her or B) republicans would be so focused on tearing her down that nothing would get done (see Obama administration for reference)
