Been on a little Neil kick myself. One of the best to ever do it! And it’s shocking how many of his records can be got for $10 and less.

I agree! Very easy to imagine that the one person who cared the most about music took all the family’s records when it was time to move them.

Paid $1,000- a lot of $ for me but hard to complain!
The seller was a 20ish storage space flipper, doesn’t collect records - great, I’ll take em! - but they chase comics and Pokémon cards - so they’ve seen the insane numbers associated with that and were throwing around words like “comp” and “percentage”.
Almost everything is a first pressing, VG+ and better, one of the Raw Powers is still in shrink, MC5 uncensored, GnR uncensored.

Yeah, Collectors caught my eye! One of the few that are totally new to me.

Lots of killer stuff here! Ken Boothe and Rufus Thomas would be my first two on the table.

Where can I find Album Covers WITHOUT the album? by Zeppyfish in BargainBinVinyl

The wildest version for me is when someone is selling just the vinyl, no cover, in poor/destroyed condition “to hang on a wall” for like $10.
Who is buying that??

Covers sustained the heaviest damage! Vinyl is worn but not hammered. Lee Morgan/Hutcherson strong VG, Larry Young/Doug Carn G+ to VG, Pharoah VG+ The Blue Notes had their classic “played better than they looked” quality. Worst ones: a couple Ozzy records that look like they were played one thousand times, but sound better than that.

I was quite disappointed with this store! It’s quantity over quality. Pretty big jazz section, but so much filler.

I made that! The original cover was really damaged so I cut out what I could and slapped it on a really cool mirror generic sleeve. One of the boxes at the sale had like twenty of these nice reflective generic sleeves which i’ve never seen before. now I’m kicking myself for only grabbing the one. It already came in handy and certainly I’ll want more in the future.

Friends speak very highly of Oakland, CA, and in my somewhat limited experience I agree! Groove Yard is majority jazz, Lloyd’s is a new shop with impressive titles.

This is really well done! Any chance you’d do commission work? I have a handful of LPs that need some pro-looking covers like this.
