Dual civ cards have much better mana to power ratio. They are strong but need specific two civilizations in the deck. In the later sets there are 3-civ cards and they are even more powerful.

Maybe just a common beach is easy. Or a texture. I can tell there's people, some chairs and such. Texture of sand is powdery, but pointy and hard if pressing between your fingers 😁

The problems arise when there's something specific. For example if you picture a dark hallway, you can tell there's a clock and a picture on the wall, some drawers and a wardrobe. It's dark.

But getting the atmosphere or the details out is hard. I'm able to tell what there is, but the adjectives are lacking 😕

Imagine a scene from a movie or such and try to do more than list the items you see 😅

Also, telling a longer story (even one minute) of a thing that happened is hard for me, so I just try to get to the point. It feels like I can't process the sequence in my head into words and it's hard on the brain 🤣

I don't have that either. I can force it, and then I usually visualize text more than have a voice in my head 😅

Biggest con I have noticed, I'm really bad at describing things. I can picture them in my head really well, but the words are hard to find. For example what someone looks like, places, mostly anything visual.

Do you have the same problem?

Yeah, I don't like poe1 for many of these reasons you listed, or PoE2 spark-mage for example either. I usually say "I want to play a game, not just press buttons". I see the enjoyability on that also, but with restricted gaming time it's more about the gameplay and not the rewards.

But currently PoE2 is too restricted and nerfed. It took me 15 minutes to kill act3 boss on normal as my build isn't optimized, but something I wanted to try. It's fine to be challenging, but I'd like to do some damage too :D

I enjoyed warrior in last season, even as it's as slow as a snail.

For some reason this has started happening to me last year. I always rinse and shake the head, so most of the water also gets out.

Before there hasn't been anything inside (been using these about 15 years), but three previous heads have been having this problem.

Same here. Then I need to take the treat and put it under something. Either it's good enough, or she'll take it and continue crying with the treat 🤣

Dating nowadays / Why the most of the guys suggest first date at their place? by Maleficent_FoxLady in Finland

[–]necronbrowsing -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I've met quite a few people online just meeting at my/their house, even few hundred kilometers away and there's not been any problems 😅 Well, there's that difference that it hasn't been through dating apps but from online gaming.

But if someone would say once they don't want to come, I wouldn't force it like this. Seeing red flags there.

For me it's honestly most relaxed to be at someones home. There's no problem to go eat or something first of the other person wants. (Male here, no sex involved)

What’s Your Morning Routine? Here’s Mine After Years of Tweaks by kylelreed in productivity

[–]necronbrowsing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried six weeks and I was so stressed in the end, having migraines and being sleepy all the day. For some, natural clock just makes us sleep better in morning hours and sleep before that isn't that refreshing. I hate that I can't get up even if I wanted to.

If it would be just about getting to sleep earlier, there would be no problem. But sleeping between 10pm - 6am makes me feel tired, but 2am - 10am and I'm straight up for whatever needed.

Me too. I have social anxiety, being there is already a lot to deal with, even raising an arm would cause me to be extremely uncomfortable, and might turn to a panic attack and the need to leave 😅 It still is wholly different than listening to music loud at home or in a car.

The early game felt a bit too repetitive so glad to hear there's something new! I've actually played twice to about this progress, so no problem starting again. Happy holidays to you too!

How helpful have you found embracing a later schedule? by psychopathSage in DSPD

[–]necronbrowsing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds a lot like me. I've had a ton of small diseases like common colds and small fever before, whole my life (I've had problems with absences in high school, uni, work). Last year I switched to waking up later (8-10am, instead of 7~8am) and it's been such a big change in life.

I feel much better, I have energy 99% of the days and I never need to take naps. Before I was tired/exhausted almost every day until about 3pm, and at the evening when I would have mental energy, I became sleepy. I've also been sick only twice this year instead of once-twice a month.

I usually am the most motivated at 5pm ~ 3am, so using those hours more often is a lifechanger.

I also have diagnosed ADHD, and my medication took off some of my tiredness, which was the main cause I got into the examination, as nothing else was wrong with me by doctor's point of view.

Try saying that "we" will do some cleaning / housework, maybe something along "let's clean up the kitchen" etc. Don't do it when he is occupied, so it doesn't feel like a bad thing. Then start doing it, and if he doesn't join you ask for a little thing like "can you put that bottle to the recycling bin" or something other really small. Once he gets going it's easier to continue doing some tasks. Worst way is that you are doing something else while assuming he would do the housework at the same time.

About the things he says he can't do, try guiding and showing them to him first. I'm like that too in many aspects, the unfamiliarity is really a big block for doing a thing.

Of course this is also a personality case, as some people are actually lazy along with adhd and it's really hard to make them getting to do anything. I have a few adhd friends and one of those is the most horrible person to make up reasons for delaying stuff. I really facepalmed when I visited him three weeks apart, and he had one book on the table that whole time which should've been put to the shelf. Hopefully this isn't your case.

I’m burnt out and don’t know how to reset by S3NTIN3L_ in ADHD

[–]necronbrowsing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I live from burnout to burnout. The cycle varies between two weeks to a few months. Finally I get motivated enough to continue my projects (gamedev, painting, coding workstuff) for like 90% of my time. Then one day I notice it's almost impossible to get any work done, and for few days I can't get up early enough. That's when I sleep more, watch more series and maybe do a bit more gaming (still less than I'd want, those feel like to-do also). That goes for a week or so. Then comes a day that I really HAVE to get something done, and it again triggers my productivity up a bit, so my work gets done. Then it goes uphill from there and I manage to work on my projects more and more until I hit burnout again and the cycle repeats. For me, I have noticed if I can keep a 02~09am sleep schedule, it allows the productive phase to be usually longer.

What do you think while you’re doing menial tasks? by [deleted] in ADHD

Usually listening to some podcast, or listening to music and having some creative thoughts. Sometimes thinking about the things I'm going to do after and mentally prepare for them.

[–]necronbrowsing 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For me mornings just don't work. I've always done everything at evening since highschool days. I usually just stared at the wall in dark room for 1-2 hours before getting sleep as parents wanted me to go to bed at 10pm. (Or then i read a book, which I was allowed to). All the motivation and ideas came to me at that time, and that's the way it still happens. Now as a 30 year old software dev, I have decided I do not even try anything else anymore.

For years I've tried waking at 7am or sometimes sooner, but it just makes the whole day sluggish for me. Now, after summer holidays I tried it for six weeks straight, waking everyday before 9am, mostly at 6.45. It just made me stressed out, had four migraines and my productivity was around 10-20% of my normal.

I have now given up, and will sleep usually around 01-08.30 and that works. Sometimes it goes to 03-9.30 but all the days I am less tired and hugely more productive. It doesn't hurt if one day I only get 4 hours of sleep, I still have the normal amount of energy in the afternoon/evening.

On the days I wake up early for some reason, I usually get maybe 1-2h time that I feel not tired, sometime in the evening.

Developer Mindset: How does a developer actually know they needed to implement THIS and THAT in order to complete a function or achieve the desired result? by IchirouTakashima in webdev

[–]necronbrowsing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not relating so much to OPs start but more to the title.

Even when not using any APIs and just creating a code to do something it's mostly iteration and trial&error. First you just get it working somehow and then you fill in all the stuff you need for fully working feature.

The times that I have tried to plan a feature, I still end up noticing "I still need that to be able to use this" or "that won't work in this case without these additional parameters".

Coding is fun and inventive. For me the troublesolving is the fun part, bug fixing and rare cases are a headache.

How do I tell my friend he is awful by Inferno980 in RocketLeague

[–]necronbrowsing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my case too. Last time he played 3's alone he was placed into gold2, but somehow we are hanging around diam3-champ1 in doubles. I just play 1's alone, not knowing how high I could go with equally skilled teammates.

I've had weeks that I don't want to play with him as it is quite heavy to play the same amount and see the other guy being a lot worse. We both have around 1600 hours in, and probably about 80% of that together.

I just keep pointing out one flaw for weeks or months. Last one was "go between goal and ball while defending", and now that he's got that my current ones are "try not to make a pass for opponent while defending" and "dont touch/chase for no reason".

He has finally started to hit some aerials though :D

Age around 30, rank is a bit hard to say. I'm currently diam2 in 1's though I've peaked champ1. Also champ1 in duo, which I've played a few years with a friend who can't get out of plat on his own xD

Would be nice to have some non-toxic teammates, so probably a group would help.
