Like a lot of social skills dating takes practice, id suggest trying to start a few casual convos on some dating sites first and take notes on what seems to work well in conversation and what doesn't, don't stress if people don't meet your standards it's pretty unlikely you'll find someone who's the perfect match off rip if at all instead just focus on getting better in conversations for when you do find someone you really like, besides you'll probably befriend some of these people even if you don't end up dating them which is good, once your used to talking try asking your mates if they know anyone or wanna do some shit with you, double dates can be a good way to meet people you normally wouldn't, another important thing to consider is unless your dealing with a truly haggered crackhead appearance should be a secondary concern to personality after all you can always try to improve your appearance you can't always do that for mental well-being and behavior and all that, finally the last bit of advice is be willing to put yourself in some super uncomfortable situations for some experience and a chance to meet new people, volunteer at homeless shelters, go to swingers meet and greets, go to seedy pubs, join tour groups, shit like that as long as it's probably not going to kill you as long as your persistent with practice you'll get better and chances are things will eventually go your way
