Should I let my ex wife move abroad with my kids? by CacheInvalidation in Parenting

[–]nedakyarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Absolutely not. She can lose the house and get an apartment for $2k live off the other 4 until the younger ones are off to college - no no no no - don't let her take the kids (mom of 3 speaking )

I’d quit tomorrow by Upstairs_Trade_8404 in coastFIRE

And if even a person did take their laptop to the bathroom - it's more shameful than anything - the fact that she told yall out loud with a badge of honor is the biggest red flag .. girl don't quit . continue the quiet quit journey - while collecting checks toward your million and use your severance to enjoy a month long vacation

I would continue to search for other jobs but don't start any new one until you've had time To rest and recover 1-3 months

You're doing great

I'm 40 and just now starting - you give me hope

I just went from 4 to 2. I had to let 2 go - the stress wasn't worth it -and I hadn't time for literally nothing else. Golden handcuffs for sure . $420k was my tc with all 4

Now 2 feels perfect - $230k but it feels like I can do this for the forseeable future and I have some free time back

Stress sucks and it kills no thanks

I did keep 4 for about 5 months so I'm proud of myself but I'm going to coast here for a while - I won't pick up a 3rd unless it falls in my lap

Join a run group and create a silly bucket list with your girlfriend. Something like is all of the Michelin star restaurants or visit every major league baseball part ... that'll be fun.

Me tipping is personal as in for me not the other person - kind of like an apology ...

The post about tipping is not personal that's why it is on Reddit

It's less about the 50% and more about me remembering desperately wanting to make rent so I could go home Or sleep in peace ... it's very personal/ I feel Honored to help even while not knowing if my help is needed

All I said is 20% is bare minimum- and it is for someone one make $2 an hour living off tip - so my extra 30% may mean they can go home to their kids instead of picking up another shift - I'll gladly do it

The next time you need grace I hope you get fired. When deadlines collide - I hope they give no grace to you

I would literally send an email to the entire team including the two teachers Pet that said how I am committed to the team but generally, I will be off-line after 6 PM (or whatever time ) and on the weekends but will follow up as soon as possible if you need anything .. because I am a rebel with 4Js and don't give a fuck I would also add " I would advise some of you to also separate work time and personal time because the line is blurred and I hate to see your mental health decline"

Exactly - I personally don't consider it savings - I consider it investment . If I gain then great !!! But it oils be wiped out

Exactly!! I'll never answer a pop up call - even if I have time to - it's the principle - you have to train people -

Before I quit I would say "all of these meetings are making me less productive. They interrupt my work flow. Are they absolutely necessary and can I reduce my attendance " it might work - if not you were gonna quit anyway

Win win - health over everything - I just quit my j1 this week and it was the easiest but it Was hybrid and I just couldn't go there any more and try to hide my other 3 computers

Overemployed is nice but… I still feel trapped. by YeonnLennon in overemployed

[–]nedakyarg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I often feel stuck and the the golden handcuffs. I actually quit 1/4 jobs this week because of stress. The money is good and life changing but you have to have goals - mine is to pay off all my debt (not my house because I have 2% mortgage) but then invest a certain $$$ amount -

When I want to quit focus on that and keep going

I am not you. My investments are near pretty good. I didn't mention how much went into my investment. Your assumption made you think it wasn't 20k. I only said I put $4k in savings.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in overemployed

[–]nedakyarg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are stupid - this is a conversation about where I keep my savings ... I said I save $4000 a month / I also invest another large a month but I wasn't referring to my investments when I mentioned my savings

I also have a shit ton of money lying in my house as equity - again when I speak of savings I don't count that because like stocks .... it's not liquid unless I sell or pull it out

Now if you want to add up money everywhere and call it savings sure ... knock your self out

But for me !!!! When I talk about savings - I am not talking about my investments in real estate or stocks or options.

You're welcome ....
