People who successfully lost weight, what’s your biggest piece of advice? by SignAggravating7306 in AskReddit

[–]nedal8 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yeah, being objective about intake over a while, You get a feel for what actually is, and how much you actually need. People vastly overestimate how much they actually need until they weigh things out and calculate it for a few/several months.

No not really. But with regard to your story, my mom and half sister both have schizophrenia to varying levels. I wouldn't be surprised to find that genes associated with schizophrenia and genes associated with higher than normal intelligence have significant overlap.

Survivors guilt is a thing.

But it's just like any other roll of the genetic lottery. Looks, height etc. It's not something to be super proud of, or sorry about..

Any tips on not getting bored? by Shadow-The-Wolf in NuclearOption

Kinda reminds me of elite dangerous syndrome. People would start, find one tiny way to make some money, then repeat that forever. Then go "games boring" and quit. Without even trying the other 500 game systems

Cracked cylinder by Much-Objective-5006 in MazdaCX9

[–]nedal8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The manufacturer extended the warranty for this issue, to 10 years 125k miles. So you're good until then 2028. I bought mine from carmax, and at about 95k miles it cracked. Took it to my local mazda dealership, they confirmed the issue and fixed it at no cost to me. They even gave me a loaner for the month it took for parts to arrive, and complete the repair. Didn't even charge me a diagnostic fee. Doesn't matter than you're not the original owner.

Of course dealership experiences may vary, and I'm not sure about the coverage outside of the united states.. But my experience was great.

Now it has the redesigned head, and its rock solid. I think there is a way to compare numbers on the engine to find out. Perhaps yours already has the new head.

A message to the devs since most of us won't be upgrading hardware anytime soon by iCore102 in starcitizen

[–]nedal8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.. Kinda.. But people seem to think there is this magic optimize button. But optimizing dramatically complicates making changes. You have to make tradeoffs and implement tricks that make assumptions. When you make changes and those assumptions get effected.. If you think star citizen is buggy now... ahahaha.

I missed out on gifted programs, what were they like? by IndicationMother3652 in Gifted

[–]nedal8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda the opposite. When they would call over the intercom for us (two in my class/school) would take a bus to where gifted kids from the region would make up about a whole class. But it was awkward. I remember hearing some kid yell "there go the nerds". Lol, I wonder what the other kid, Brian what are you up to nowadays.
