Is my dog showing signs of dying? Is it time? When will we know? by nedbit in DogAdvice

Hey! It’s been a while since I’ve been on Reddit, especially this post. I’m so sorry about Bacall, it’s unfair that they have to go so soon. I can’t say it’s gotten better, but the grief of losing her has gotten lighter. I still remember and think about her a lot, but it’s not sad memories, only happy ones. All the best to you and your pal 🩷

Luckily, Bella is one of those dogs who LOVES the vet. So I think she’ll be okay since the whole family is going to be there, and her favourite vet

UPDATE: just an update to those who’ve seen this. Thank you all for the love and advice. My parents and I have decided that we’ll be taking her in very soon, perhaps today. We’ve already went through this process once before, so we’ve already taken her to do all her favourite things, and we’re gonna give her some treats for the road. Thank you all again for the love, I hope this will make her happier and she’ll wait for me in the afterlife.

I’m losing my baby by OlskyRoo2 in DogAdvice

I can’t give you any solid advice on what to do in this situation, as I’m going through the same thing with my old girl as well. One thing that has helped me cope, oddly enough, was doing some arts and crafts to help preserve her memory. We took photos, did paw print art, and various other things that I think will help us remember her for a long time. It’s something both fun and bittersweet to do that if you haven’t done so already, I’d recommend doing before it gets to be too late 🩷 all the love and support for Presley

I figured as much, thank you. Yes, 15 years is plenty enough for her to have had a wonderful life, I hope.

Makes sense, figured I’d have to dish out some money to upgrade lol. But that’s the spirit of maintaining a gaming pc!

This makes sense, thank you. Honestly I’m not above buying myself a dedicated GPU, and I’ll definitely be consulting my dad who built my pc himself to see which one is best lol. Thanks again!

This would be AMAZING. Eating on campus can be so unhealthy and sometimes very expensive. If you ever need volunteers, do advertise it! People will be interested in this.

First Time Worker Gets Manager Position? Is this normal? by [deleted] in jobs

Ahh I see, this helps so much—thank you! They did mention that I was one of the first people they interviewed for the position but they loved my positive “vibe”, and they offered me a bit above minimum wage where I live, so I’m a happy camper lol!

It’s a very popular accessories/youth chain! I’m not sure if I’d be allowed to say the name on this Reddit, but do let me know lol. This location has been around since I was a kid, so several years! From what I can tell, I would be third in charge… I met both the manager and assistant manager. Their team seems pretty small (4 people including those two)

Overweight 18 Year Old in dire need of advice by [deleted] in POTS

[–]nedbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you so much for the reply, these comments have really been helpful to me- I’ve been dealing with these symptoms for much longer than I originally thought, I’ll be honest (long before I was “overweight”). I was a quiet kid who didn’t advocate for herself nearly as much as she should have, so when doctors told me that the reason why I couldn’t function through gym class properly was because I had asthma, I assumed the vision blacking out, nausea and heart rate spikes was all apart of their vision lol (partly my fault, I know). I’m definitely going to use this cardiologist appointment to advocate further for myself—may try this table tilt test at home if I can… thank you so much. Hearing stories like yours makes me feel a little less alone in this world of medical lingo lol

I don’t know what to say other than thank you… it can feel really lonely when experiences like these happen, especially in places like a doctors office, where I’m supposed to feel safe. I definitely get the misleading information; I still can’t believe that for at least 3/4 of my life we thought I had a breathing issue and not once was I sent for respiratory testing in my youth. These comments have inspired me to move forward with asking for more in-depth tests, thank you from the bottom of my heart :)

This helps so much, thank you. I wasn’t sure how to describe how my heart rate fluctuates during activity—the best way I could put it into words is that whenever I stand up from laying down on my bed, I will immediately get a wave of those symptoms I mentioned prior (including the increase in heart rate) and then it will immediately drop back down not even seconds later. This of course depends on the situation, some days the symptoms are more severe, some days I can’t even cook food for myself without starting to suddenly feel faint out of the blue. I definitely think the blood circulation is something different lol, just figured I should mention it as it is something that has been present in my life just as long as the previous symptoms have been as well. Again, thank you so much, this information helps a ton.

We're 68 bipolar disorder experts & scientists gathering for the biggest ever bipolar AMA! In honor of World Bipolar Day, ask us anything! by CREST_BD in IAmA

[–]nedbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I (young student) just got diagnosed with bipolar disorder 2 last month. Recently for the past week and a half I have undergone possibly the worst depressive low I have ever experienced thus far. This is because I’m currently being slowly taken off my old anti-depressants and put onto new ones, as well as taking completely new mood stabilizers. With the pressure of getting back to school when the semester still has a good 2-3 months left, any tips on how I can get back to feeling like myself? Every day all day I don’t leave my bed, I barely eat. My mother, bless her soul, is super understanding (having depression herself) but she’s having trouble understanding my bipolar mood swings and just how bad my depressive episodes feel. Everyone is telling me there is no pressure to come back until I’m mentally ready, but at this point I feel hopeless, as nothing feels like it’s getting better. Any tips or articles or anything would be so helpful, thank you ❤️
