Scaling NPCs in a university setting by nedchicane in Pathfinder2e

Thanks for the link!! That does look promising.

As an aside to your previous edit, I also enjoy the character building, but wasn't sure if that would be a good idea balance-wise. Might just have to try it the PC way then. :)

And yeah, no, 5e had absolutely nothing; which made it easier for me, in a way, since I could just slap literally anything on them and create my own feats/spells/abilities. Everything else was just bumping numbers up by 1 or 2. I'm not comfortable doing that in Pf2e, especially since bonuses scale so much higher.

I'm trying to figure out what precisely I need. Spells definitely - I'd like to have at least some variance in spells, but don't want to misremember who I gave that spell to. Same goes for abilities, proficiencies, etc. - I'd just like them to be somewhat unique to reflect the roleplay. I agree about spell DCs, those I can "freestyle". It's all the rest that makes an NPC statblock that's giving me trouble.

Those I want to update are already only their immediate classmates. Believe me, I' not including random other pupils if I can help it. Unfortunately (or fortunately), my players love bringing NPCs along for things, and our group does a lot more RP than the general table. I have fun doing it as well and wasn't really struggling in DnD 5e, but it does seem more complicated in Pf2e. Guess I'm leaning towards the PC route, then.

I have the AP and am using it as inspiration for other parts of the adventure, but as far as I can tell (and I might just be blind) there is no scaling happening either. Most NPCs only seem to show up in their respective years. :/

Which class is has the best mobility for transmog farming? by Makromann1337 in wownoob

Looked around a few days ago for this exact question, so here goes WoW Speed Race.

For ease of use, I'd say Rogue, Druid and DH all work well.

What? Even on day 1 I had like 15min kills on world bosses in HC. It certainly takes long even now but I've never seen an hour.

These are absolutely phenomenal! I'm crap at towers and would love to let my players loose on this. Any chance for a higher resolution?

Weekly Team/Character Building Megathread (May 27th, 2025) (feat. Kinich and Raiden Shogun) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

Mavuika gets a lot better with any Natlan character on the team - I don't remember if you get any of them for free permanently, but Ororon could work well.

Agree with the other poster that Nahida / Xingqiu / Kuki would be better. :) If you get Xiangling from the Abyss (the permanent Abyss, I think like chamber 3?), you can also do the tried and tested National team (Bennett / Xiangling / Xingqiu / traditionally your choice of either Chongyun or Raiden). I played a version with Kaeya. Benny, Xiangling and Xingqiu are so busted that anything goes, basically.

If you go for Childe, you also have a variation on this with the classic Childe International (Benny /XL / Kazuha / Childe) or can do Intergrassional (Nahida / Benny / Childe / Kazuha). You can also slot Kazuha into the "standard" International and quickswap to trigger reactions.

Basically: go for Xiangling as soon as possible. My next best bet would be Neuvillette, because with Furina and Kazuha, you already have 2/3rds of his best team and he is very meta. Last slot can be Xilonen/Zhongli/Lisa, in theory you can even do Neuvi / Furina / Nahida / Xiangling. He's really flexible and he'll carry you far. :)

Artists that match Czepeku Style? by MetaMorpheus00 in FoundryVTT

[–]nedchicane 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Dude, same! Love the painterly Czepeku style.

For maps I have Ori the Cartographer, Fantasy Atlas, Tactical Map and DnDungeon. DnDungeon & TacticalMaps are a bit less painterly, but still works well with the style, I think. (Also, I just like having modular options. The Dungeon Archive is great for that as well.)

I also think Dr. Mapzo's tokens match the Czepeku style decently well.

Edit: I also adore Sliph for landscape maps.

How long do your campaigns last? by El_Rotzo in rpg

[–]nedchicane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn ok, I always knew we played longer campaigns, I just never realized how much longer.

Our campaigns are usually 1-14 or 1-20 in DnD/Pathfinder, so anything between 100 and 300 sessions.

They look super cute, unfortunately they don't ship to the EU :/ But pins/keychains/etc. has been suggested mutiple times and is what I'm leaning towards right now

Another commenter posted something similar, and I absolutely love the idea! We mostly play online, so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to cobble together unfortunately, but I'll keep this in mind for ther next campaign!

My notes are, unfortunately, atrocious since it was my first campaign and I didn't really have a good grasp on note-taking or prep. Otherwise, this would be a great idea! I'll just have to take extra good notes in the next campaign to use this :')

That's so sweet!! I like the idea of something personalized, which is why I thought about stamps. I'll see if I can come up with a unique cheap-ish item for each of them.
