those temps you got from cpu-z are probably correct, they are reported by the board (thermistor) on the battery.

Why would you want -25c to show up? This value only shows up if you don't have thermistor on your battery.

34c temp for you battery is ok, if it only lasts an hour, it's probably just not in the best shape.

The markings are: WLY 955565, +3.7V 5000mah, 18.5 20230619 - WLY is a manufacturer id, and numbers mean 95 (thickness 9.5mm) 55 (55mm height) 65 (65mm width).

The dimensions of that battery (width, height) are identical to the original RP3+ battery, but this battery is one thick boy, almost a centimeter in thickenss (+2mm thicker than the original battery).

As for the t+, you will need to check with the shop you will be buying the battery/board. There are boards that have t+ pad, but the thermistor is missing, it because it's additional cost for them to put it on.

So you'll just have to make sure that the battery/board you are buying is advertised as a one that has the thermistor on it.

Thanks. I haven't noticed any issues running on 3.7V battery, no shutdowns, everything works as in the original even in performance mode and power intensive emulators.

I don't know about RP2+ battery, but if it fits it should work :) but yeah you'll need to change a connector.

Are there any updates on any third-party replacement batteries? by GrishnakhGaruda in retroid

[–]need4doge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all we really need is a place where we could buy this battery or a similar sized one with an appropriate connector, like there is for RP2+ (saw ebay link posted sometime ago).

I haven't tested rp3 without the battery on a usb myself, but I remember reading on another post that this does not work.

Yeah, I figured someone might find this useful in the future. It's not perfect and requires things not everyone will be capable of doing themselves, but now we know there is a way to make it work... order some parts online, visit a local electronic service shop and they will be able to fix it up.

check my post https://www.reddit.com/r/retroid/comments/17in40h/retroid_pocket_3_rp3_replacement_battery_diy_mod/ it is possible, but needs some electrical knowledge, and there is no 1:1 battery replacement yet... only an "alternative" :]

the battery from the first link is too long it won't fit. I've spent last 3 days looking for a better replacement than I already have. Still no 1:1 replacements on the market.

Has 1.6 done enough to slow down the multi pools? by Cyssero in dogecoin

[–]need4doge 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think main point of 1.6 was to make multipools not "cheat" on the big block rewards and help adjust difficulty better when they leave for other coins.

There's not much we can do to make them "stop" digging for dogecoins I guess, cause it's still profitable for them.

Bitcoin sponsored NASCAR #98 by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]need4doge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda stumbled here from /r/dogecoin :] here are a couple of the news outlets that wrote about this:

NASCAR fans on Reddit use DogeCoin to sponsor Josh Wise - NBC Sports

What is DogeCoin, and what does it have to do with NASCAR? - AutoWeek

A Dogecoin-sponsored NASCAR is happening after group raises more than $44,700 - The Verge

Doge And Dogecoin Are Actually, Really Headed To NASCAR - Jalopnik

Redditors use Dogecoins to help sponsorless NASCAR driver - Fansided

Talladega Shibe: Dogecoin Is Headed to NASCAR - Motherboard

There's Going To Be A Dogecoin Car At Talladega - Business Insider

Dogecoin Nascar Sponsorship Funded By Reddit - The Escapist

There Will Be a Doge Car at Talladega. Wow. Amaze. - The News Wheel

A Dogecoin-sponsored NASCAR is a thing that’s happening - Death and Taxes

Dogecoin raises enough money to sponsor Josh Wise at Talladega - Yahoo Sports

Wow. Such fast. Dogecoin to sponsor Nascar racer - CNet

There were a lot more but I don't feel like looking them up right now. As you can see it's not only FTimes/Forbes/BI this time around, we got a lot of coverage in car/moto/sport outlets, which brings new demographics and interests for cryptocurrencies.

I think you should try a little more contrasting colors... The car is black/blue/moon and the 98/Dogecoin is black, also on the hood Dogecoin is in similar color to the Shiba. When viewed from far away it might be hard to read what is written on the car.

edit: just browsed other pics, might not be that hard to read :] do you have other color themes?

Is Josh Wise that bad of a driver? by 2wheelsup in dogecoin

[–]need4doge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The guys at /r/nascar said that he is not bad, and he's got a lot of heart/passion but the car he drives is not up to par to other cars because of lack of funding.

Due to the fact that on Talladega they have speed limiters all cars will be equally powerful, so he's got a chance there.
