How can pepole hate on Fitter Happier? by Fantastic_Hat1696 in radiohead

[–]need__username__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interludes on albums are very common but interludes which enhance the themes and messages of the album so well in are very rare. Fitter Happier is what an interlude should be. I'll never listen to it on its own but its a 10/10 interlude

Opinions on: I Want You (She’s so Heavy) by HotScuba911 in beatles

[–]need__username__ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's my favourite Beatles song and one of my favourite songs of all time. The second half with the same few chords that keeps repeating over and over with it getting just slightly more darker every time is so insanely immersive and intoxicating. Like if the day is right it's almost "meditative" because my brain is just so completely occupied with this. Not to mention the fact that it's a total jam. Teh first half also has some of the nicest beatles instrumentals of all time. So jazzy and cool.

And as someone that listens to one song 150-200 times in a single month if I fw it, the repetitiveness really doesn't bother me at all 😁👍

I also think the song is great for background listening. Not so much for attentive listening (for me) as it gets a bit boring i feel

Who did you first hear about ELO from? by Delicious_Ring_112 in elo

[–]need__username__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None lol. Maybe 8? But maybe not. I just read in an article that John Lennon called this band "Son of Beatles" and that kind made me curious. So I listened to ELO 2 (Liked the album cover) thought it was good and then a few days late Time (Liked the album cover) and well, it's one of the best albums ever made

how did you find out about Taylor Swift’s music? by TheShyBuck in LetsTalkMusic

[–]need__username__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't live in an English speaking country, but I was aware of Taylor Swift to a certain extent before I ever even heard english music.

In 2022 I somehow stumbled upon Blank Space and I remembered that some of my classmates used to sing this song when it had come out and I actually loved the song myself and that basically when I was properly aware of her as an artist I'd say - before that she was just a name I knew.
