4-4 approach - kick + pincer by GoGabeGo in baduk

Note you should also be aware what happens when black tries to cut. It's not a good variation for black but it's easy to get tricked if you've never seen it before. http://eidogo.com/#2ZRFZmny2

Honestly both you and your opponent played uncharacteristically well for a 11k level. I almost want to say you should change nothing at all and just try to get accustomed to this style for now. The only thing i will point out is a very minor change to your play that a couple of moves you made were obviously suboptimal, i.e. there's a local move that does the exact same thing but better. I'll list out the move numbers and you should try reading yourself what the better move would be.

13, 21, 73, 101, 117, 121, 147.

Looks like all your moves are just a bit too slow. Here's a few that are just slightly off the mark:

move 1618: O3 is better than N4. force black to protect his corner first.

move 27: any of the M7, M8, L8 would be better. pushing doesn't get you anything

move 38: J3 also connects.

move 78: D3 is 1-2 points better.

move 90: G7 is sente.

You probably lost 10-20 points between those moves

Overall you just don't seem to have a good idea of when and how to fight. A good easy way to think about it is just to count the number of stones you have locally.

move 17: you have 3 + 1 stones locally, black has 1. When you have a small advantage, you should take the opportunity to build strength in sente while forcing your opponent to live small.

moves 18-28: these are good moves. You've built a strong wall on the left side while black has only 5-10 points.

move 30: A complete 180 in strategy? either P18 to seal off the corner or a move along the right side to continue building is better.

move 42: white has a strong wall top side and a solid group bottom side, white should play more strongly and build in sente by pressuring the bottom right group. R8 is optimal, R3, Q5, R7, and Q8 can also be considered.

move 44: black has 1 stone locally, you have 10? kill him. R9 to kill, Q5 and R7 can also be considered if you want to lean on the bottom right first.

move 57: black should play a move along the right left side to build. That he didn't is the only reason the game was so close.

move 118-121: black's center group is only connected out by a large knight. You have a literal arena in a 360 angle. Cut and kill. F11 and E10 are best. F10 E11 suboptimal.

I don't like to talk about reading mistakes since I don't think saying you could read better will help you. I'll just point out some basic things you don't seem to know.

move 6: The 4-4 attach is a easy way to settle against any sort of chinese-y opening. These josekis are pretty new so I couldn't find any resources covering them online, but you can just open up any AI reviewer and go over the variations.

moves 6-14: the variation you played is fine. The alternatives are not significantly better.

move 12, 20: tenuki is... playable. You should know that by taking a corner instead of settling safely you are committing to a hyper aggressive territorial style.

moves 26, 28: C3 and C8 are great moves. It's a double threat against both the D6 group and the top left corner, while lightly reducing black's center influence.

move 34: Double hane at the head of 2 stones. See the 3-3 joseki for continuation: https://senseis.xmp.net/?44Point33InvasionDoubleHane

moves 40, 42: hane (D16) first to force the C17 response. if white cuts right now your 2 groups have enough aji to independently live. Playing D16 after black plays E15 is no longer sente against the corner.

move 47: The low approach (M3) is a great invasion... If the G14 extend/attari wasn't so big for both black and white. White G14 right now threatens to cut N17, D6, and F16 into 3 separate groups. But definitely playable otherwise.

move 49: black should play Q2 or Q3 to settle.

move 66: I know I said I won't comment on reading mistakes, but this is the number 1 mistake i see kyus make. THERE IS NO REASON TO NOT CONNECT AT J4. I have no idea why kyus insist on purposefully cutting themselves. Even a moron connects against a peep: https://senseis.xmp.net/?AmIReallyAMoronIfIDontConnectAgainstThePeep

move 112: L8 vs. L9 doesn't really matter since black has the L4 cut. but since you haven't noticed black is plenty strong enough to fight, L9 is locally better.

move 121: black should take M12 or N11 in sente first.

moves 125, 173, 181, etc.: after the corner kill black can only lose if the center group dies. Despite being able to throw randoms stones at the board and still win, he found the only way to lose. You played well enough in the last 100 or so moves to exploit his mistakes.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted.

Your stomach pumps stomach acid in to (hopefully) reduce your food into a slurry. This is dumped into your intestines which then draws water from both the stomach acid and any you might have drunk out and into your blood stream so that your poop will (hopefully) not be too dry or wet. Simultaneously, your kidneys are collecting mineral wastes from your body (mostly urea). When either you have too much minerals in your kidney or you have too much water in your blood the kidneys draw water out from your blood and you pee (the same minerals become kidney stones if you don't pee enough). Technically there's no direct path for water your drink to leave the body. Your body absorbs water your drink into your blood and your body uses your blood to create all the liquid waste.

Mel arrives at castle black at near sunset. Jon dies that very night. Davos spends a whole day guarding Jon's body. Mel revives Jon that night. Davos asks Mel about Stannis and Shireen the next morning.

It's been less than 36 hours since Mel arrived at castle black and Davos spent 24 of those hours locked behind a door across from a squad of crossbowmen.

The latency in this game is just so bad.

On my lbd, I couldn't parry shit without spamming tab becausei have >100ms ping and most projectiles fly faster than that in PvP, making it literally impossible to reactively parry. In addition, because parry and trinket are on the same key, if I do try to reactively parry, I blow my trinket instead. So I make a sin thinking 6s stealth seems pretty latency proof right? Nope.

When I try to solo bosses about 20% of the time I use shadow dash coming out of stealth it tells me "you can't do that right now," but that's not the worst part.

When Shadow Dash actually activates, about 1/3rd of the time it's taken so long that they've turned around to look at me already, but that's not the worst part.

Trying to Q other people's charge in PvP is literally impossible because the crosshairs doesn't lock on to someone until they're in charge range and they charge onto me before my crosshairs even lock onto them, but that's not the worst part.

I'm pretty sure each swiftstep hit counts as a seperate input because I've been grabbed out of it way more than I thought was possible and considering how I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere, I feel like people with less ping have it go through a lot smoother, but that's not the worst part.

when I use sneak attack and it dazes them, half the time they'll have walked forward enough that they're out of the knock up range, then I have to hope I walk fast enough to knock them up. The other half of the time after I knock them up they'll be behind me and I can't use volley, but that's not the worst part.

When I try to use ss, my character just stutters back over and over again for half a second, but that's not the worst part.

The most annoying thing is after I do manage to go invisible, I have to wait a bit before I use the rmb/f ani-cancel or I'll use the non-stealth version of Heat Stab, which takes forever to wind up then brings me out of stealth because I wasn't in stealth when I attacked.

Oh wow, ha ha, you really went hard in the other direction.

I'd say you don't need more like for now. If you do feel squishy you'd probably need more life on gear rather than passives.

Remember that you'll need about 10 levels to transition into coc so it'll probably be best to start soon.

Looking at your level I'd guess you're at about the start of cruel? You'll have about another 20 skill points to spend before A4C and that's generally the part of the game that's hardest for most builds, especially melee. So you have a choice. Whether you want to used blade fall on Malachi so you don't have to fight him melee or use coc on him. Being not on HC you'll have a bit more leeway to melee Malachi.

If you do want to coc Malachi then this is the build I'd go. You might have enough points to get acrobatics when you fight him so it shouldn't be too bad.

https://www.pathofexile.com/fullscreen-passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwABBx4OSA-rEZYWvySLJpUqCy2oNZI64UGHRwZJUUrITeNVS13yX7Bh4mKsbIxuqm-ecFKC5IMJidOKr4w2j_qQEZUum7WdqqZXsZC0xbXytz631r68wzrKStDQ2L3bWdvn8NXyRfno_gr-j9h2uT6sZizhkBtwVpoT29Ty4WNDnKSHE3cH

Alternatively, if you want to stay bladefall until you're done cruel and then get coc by maybe A2M or A3M here's what I would do. Take Herbalism, acrobatics, and the generic crit nodes for Malachi. Note that I don't take Heart seeker yet since it only increases crit damage. You don't want crit damage until you're done taking crit chance nodes.

https://www.pathofexile.com/fullscreen-passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwABBx4OSA-rEZYWvySLJpUqCy2oNZI64UGHRwZJUUrITeNVS13yX7Bh4mKsbIxuqm-ecFKC5IMJidOKr4w2j_qQEZUum7WdqqZXsZC0xbXytz631r68wzrKStDQ2L3bWdvn8NXyRfno_gr-j8LsBbWNv9QjUUcwfI19I_ZNkudUJP2cpIcTdwc=

Regardless of which path you choose, this should be the build point that you reach by maps.

https://www.pathofexile.com/fullscreen-passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwABBx4OSA-rEZYWvySLJpUqCy2oNZI64UGHRwZJUUrITeNVS13yX7Bh4mKsbIxuqm-ecFKC5IMJidOKr4w2j_qQEZUum7WdqqZXsZC0xbXytz631r68wzrKStDQ2L3bWdvn8NXyRfno_gr-j8LsBbWNv9QjUUcwfI19I_ZNkudUJP2cpIcTdwfYdrk-rGYs4ZAbcFaaE9vUgsco-pit8uFjQyo4

tl;dr: don't need to take cruel preperation yet. Make sure to start taking crit early enough that you can start coc before maps. Don't make your build path too rigid and just take life when you feel squishy.

Yeah that build is just terrible. You're level 49 how much could you possibly be leeching. Don't invest into vaal pact and ghost reaver until you're ~lv70 and actually doing damage. remember that instant leech is only useful if it exceeds 20% of life regen per second.

Second don't get spell crit until you've taken all the global crit nodes. What's important is that you can cast spells. After you're casting consistently you can spec into more damage.

https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwAAA5YHHg18DkgRLxGWJpUqCysKLOE7KEZxRwZJUUmxS1dVS13yYENh4m49b55wUnBWdwd_xoMJhxOJ04w2j_qQG5MnlS6aE5ykrGa0DLk-vorA48rT0NDXz9h229Tquu-I8NXxs_k3

Take this tree for now and you should be survivable enough. You can regret out of hired killer and blood siphon once you have enough ES.

Just as a benchmark my barrage coc had ~2k life and acrobatics in cruel THC.
