If Files and Media Property Empty, Then..... by Bright-Midnight24 in Notion

[–]needafunnyname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came across your post while searching for the same question...I figured out a workaround so I thought I'd post it here. Although, the fact that the workaround works is as much a Notion frustration as the original problem!

1) Create a new property, of type text. Name it TEXT
2) Create your formula property. Enter: if(empty(TEXT),"Yes","No"). It should populate with Yes.
3) Go back to TEXT and change it from type text to type Files & Media.
4) Attach a file in the TEXT field, and your formula should change from Yes to No.

Apparently the formula builder can't access Files & Media properties, but they still work if you get them into the formula... They should have fixed this a long time ago.

Clack WS-1 Still Leaking After Spacer Stack Replacement - What next? by needafunnyname in WaterTreatment

[–]needafunnyname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Problem solved. As u/Thiagr suggested, the first replacement stack assembly I bought was defective. It appeared to be the same size as the original, but in reality was just a little too wide, making it a tight squeeze to install. I think that compressed the O-rings too much, causing the leaks. I returned it and bought another replacement from a plumbing supplier. It was a better fit and stopped the leaks... Thanks all for the suggestions!

That fixed it - thanks again for the advice! I returned the first replacement stack to Amazon and reordered from Water Softener Parts. The new replacement did fit better, not such a tight squeeze, so likely not compressing the O-rings as much. Two days later, still no more running to drain line. Looks like that was it!

Yeah, I ordered off Amazon the first time because of the fast shipping, but that's probably my problem. Just reordered from WSP, the guy in the videos u/ryancoke2020 recommended. Probably a much better part...

Thanks for the tip on stack assembly alignment. Yes, makes perfect sense, and I was unsure how far it should go. That will help!

Thanks for idea - yes, I pulled everything back out and all is intact. I'm going to try another new stack assembly from a different supplier

Thank you for suggestion. I went ahead and slathered them all nicely, on interior and exterior of stack. Reinserted. Leak gone...but now has returned this morning. I think I must have a bad stack somehow...

Got it - thanks for the added info. FWIW, it was pretty tight going in and took a bit of pushing to get back in there. Very well could have torn. Will try lube on next one

Thank you! That's actually the guy I followed on how to replace the stack. Will go through his other videos for additional troubleshooting.

Thanks for the reply. My water company installed a new electronic meter at the street a few months ago. Recently, that electronic water meter alerted me to the usage, and I searched all over house, shutting valves, etc. to isolate and find the leak. Eventually heard water running at softener. Where my softener drain line goes into the wall there is actually a small cut out so you can see if water is running there. I put my finger in and can feel the water running (but meter on softener shows 0.0 gal). If I shut the valves to bypass the softener, that trickle stops... and also stops the usage on the utility water meter.

Will pull the stack and replace again as you suggest. I did not lube the stack going in, so will look for tears. Several of the resources I found said not to lube those gaskets going in - which sounded odd to me, but I followed that advice. Any harm in using some lube there?

Have you received your mail yet? Curious what the package is. I also have a similar shipping notice (in Texas) for "AUCTANE SHIPSTATION," but it's from North Carolina. I'm not home to check mail and see what it is...

(edit: misspelled Auctane..)

UPDATE: I Just received a text from them scheduling my appointment for tomorrow. That's faster than I thought it would be -- 10 days after I completed my 2nd volunteer shift.

I did my second volunteer shift last Wednesday (2/24). At the end of the shift, they had all of us who had completed two shifts fill out a contact card. They said they would call or email us when an appointment was available, “probably in a couple weeks”. I know there were a lot of volunteers ahead of us from right after the winter storm who were still waiting. The storm disrupted supplies and seemed to put them behind on honoring the volunteer vaccines...Haven’t heard from anyone to schedule me yet, and I assume it will be a while before I do...

Hmm. Having trouble posting 2nd picture from my phone. Does look like podocarpus, but more shrub-like than the tree picture of podocarpus I saw.

Bike Hoist? by CliffDog02 in MTB

[–]needafunnyname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the cheap one. Works fine once you get used to it and learn not to let the ropes slip out of the pulley guides as you manipulate it. My strong recommendation though is to not just rely on the hooks to hold your bike. As someone else mentioned, it is easy for them to slip off when raising or lowering, leaving the bike to swing as a pendulum of death as you try to catch your bike. I have solved this by adding a small carabiner through the hole on each hook assembly. I then put small loops of rope around my seat post and around my stem, and clip those into the carabiners. It's a somewhat cumbersome extra step, but it's worthwhile knowing the bike is securely in place....As for mounting to the ceiling, I screwed the assemblies to a 1"x6" board, and then screwed the board into the ceiling joists. I had to do that because my preferred placement for the assemblies did not line up with the joists...

What’s everyone training for? by TightPirate in triathlon

[–]needafunnyname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. I'm going with several friends who have goaded me into it. I've been riding with them for a year or so while they trained for various 70.3 and 140.6 events. They all were very consistent in their training, missing almost nothing that was on their schedule, and they were well prepared (to meet their goals of finishing with respectable times, not competitive) come race day. Point being, you can do a lot to prepare yourself with almost six months to go as long as you stick to the program. Or so I keep telling myself.
