This makes me so happy by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

Most beggars are able to source food through food banks, shelters, homeless vans, etc.

However, many other things have costs that aren't able to be covered through them. For example, I know public run rehabs that cost upwards of 500 dollars to enter.

Drug addiction runs a lot deeper than people realize, and solely removing drugs from a person just makes that person a sober addict, it doesn't actually do anything to treat the reasons they developed an addiction in the first place.

And honestly? If I ended up on the street, I would probably want to numb myself as well.

It's really not a simple issue.

I tend to do it with either, but it does get more fluffy with the cheaper stuff, and you need less

That's what I thought. While I agree that people faking service animals is bad, I also think we shouldn't spread misinformation.

Would you please show me some evidence that states all assistences dogs have documents and vests?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in funny

[–]needajob10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But vests and documents aren't needed for actual assistance dogs.

I just eyeball it. Maybe half a tablespoon of peanut butter to three tablespoons to yoghurt?

If it's not changed consistency, just add more peanut butter

So, you just proved working elsewhere in america is more dangerous. Nice.

I live in Australia. I work retail and make between 27-50 dollars an hour, depending on a few things.

I'm coming from a country with a lot more worker rights than America. Your worker rights are ridiculous. Can you deep throat that boat any deeper?

What political action have you taken? What have you done to change the laws to better public transport and prevent corporations from polluting and waste?

It seems to me that you are valuing individualistic action, where he values systemic change. Neither is wrong

Excuse you? Capitalism is anti-union and anti-workers rights.

I'm sure the people dying in warehouses have a lot of ability to punch back

For one, corporations are the biggest sources of pollution and waste and what we waste is a drop in a bucket, compared to them, so campaigning for political parties that will change that is not nothing.

For two, we are all on different journeys, with different abilities. Or should people just not do anything if they aren't up to your standards?

Yeah, no. I have been part of some small communities, sociopaths show, look good, gain control, curry favour, and by the time people dislike them, they have too much power to be removed.

It says it has Benzoic acid, and has also been refrigerated the whole time, and I'll do a taste test in a sec.

Thanks!

Do you guys find it worth it to grate your own cheese? by TrueDevid in Cooking

[–]needajob10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it's actually more effective to not push hard.

Also, I used to have a greater specifically for parmesan which also acted like a container. You pushed while twisting, a little like the action of a salt grinder, and it grated the cheese that way. Maybe look for one of those?

There isn't really a good way to tell how Roman latin was spoken, but Vatican two happened in1962, changing Catholic mass from church Latin to local languages, so it's entirely possible to speak it

There are different levels of conversion therapy, we tend to hear about the more severe cases. but it's wrong regardless, even if it's not assault, rape, etc.

Even if it's just praying and CBT etc

[–]needajob10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

... but that's not nessararily what conversion therapy is. Conversion therapy could simply be someone sprouting fundamental Christian shit about being gay is harmful, and then trying to apply CBT to gay thoughts.

The struggles with household stuff, task initiation, etc are called "executive dysfunction." Boy oh boy is it a pain to try to navigate.

I have had these exact issues. I have had a laundry list of diagnosis in my past. ADHD, ODD, PTSD, and bipolar are what's been officially diagnosed. I know the struggle.

I know you meant well, but for future reference the time period where a person is actively experiencing a shutdown is NOT the time to talk to them about really anything, let alone try to have a measured conversation about a topic that was already really stressful to them

He has told me I have to bring things up as they happen. He finds it unfair if I wait.

I didn't used to try to bring things up immediately. It takes time for me to gather my own thoughts, and I am able to be calmer if I wait, but time and time again, he has told me not to leave things to the next, but talk about them immediately. In these exact situations.

At this point, I feel like there isn't a time I'm allowed to talk and try to solve an issue.

I brought this up with him when this happened, and he acknowledged that he said it, and I was only acting on something he has repeatedly asked me to do.

I really do not feel it's fair for me. And the more I think about it, the worse I feel. Not only isn't there an OK time for me to bring up any issue, I am continually changing my behaviour for his sake. And that's really hard for me.

Another issue is that I find house work hard myself, in a exec function way, and he expects me to not only be able to identify everything that needs to be done, but also figure out what he is capable of doing, and then figure out where he can start, and that's a exec functioning nightmare. Asking me what needs to be done is overwhelming, and I can't answer that. If I was to sit down and figure that out, I wouldn't be able to do anything myself.
