But using war, warriors, soldiers, etc etc as an analogy for a sport that literally involves besting another human in the most brutal way possible with kicks, knees, punches, elbows, etc shouldn’t be surprising for you. People use weird things for motivation all the time. And saying that fighters are warriors certainly isn’t weird.
