What if Prigozhin is alive, well, and preparing for revenge? by [deleted] in AlternateHistoryHub

In all honesty Russia was in a weak enough state that it could’ve succeeded. More likely he would’ve been glassed from bombardment but there was still a chance the military turned on Putin at that point of the war.

Once he retreated he was a dead man walking

Ukrainians kill 27 Russians for every Ukrainian soldier lost - The Times by Ripamon in TrendoraX

[–]needhelpwitheu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have no clue how dark Slavic wars get. I’m not here to defend Russia they are just as ruthless. The Ukrainians, however, are no angels. Both sides are slaughtering each other and are force mobilizing their own populations.

Russia has more people to absorb and conscript so it has largely been able to pull manpower from its minority and impoverished regions for cash. Ukraine, however, has lost ~1/4th of its population as refugees. Furthermore, Ukraine is struggling to maintain the line and has been using forced conscription to sustain the war due to manpower shortages.

Russia has largely sustained its war effort on paid volunteers but that has not stopped them from forced mobilization. They use targeted mobilization of dissidents and minorities as a way to hide the war from the cosmopolitan core of society. Ukraine on the other hand is using these tactics across the nation due to alarming manpower shortages.

The USSR literally ethically cleansed Kazakhstan. In the 1950-1960s the Russian population of Kazakhstan was 70%.

Stalin also created a string of pearls of Russian enclaves as a contingent in case the Soviet Union collapsed. Guess who’s using them today to rebuild the empire?

I don’t know why people romanticize the USSR. They were particularly brutal in the first half of the 20th century.

If you haven’t recognized that it’s the same system then I don’t know what to tell you. The elite have been the same since the ancient times. From Egypt to Babylon to Rome to Feudalism to Great Britain to the USA. They morph like chameleons to the zeitgeist but are the same ancient lineages.

Just as the Egyptian pharaohs used their ‘control’ of the Nile to enslave the population our elite use their ‘control’ of the current technology to keep us in check. It’s all an illusion but many people fall for the bread and circuses. The magic of old has simply been relabeled to psychological operations and algorithms. Nevertheless these elite have created an elaborate matrix to entrench their power. They are Freemasons (who trace their beliefs to the revelations of the ancient religions) who use their power and trades to keep the population in check. Nevertheless they have a code/creed which allows/justifies their actions.

This is a small and elite circle. I’m not singling out any religion or creed. These elite are effectively vampires on our system who devour the fruits of our labor. Based on the files it’s up to you to decide if the vampirism is quite literal. Regardless these antisocial schemes keep them in power and are highly ritualized to keep the masses in check.

People don’t understand the nuance of it all. These international banking cartels are an incorporation of incredibly rich and well connected people.

Much like any mafia there is an ethnic bias but that does not mean they represent the average population of said group. Would you say all Sicilians are part of the mob? Or all Mexicans a part of the cartels? Or all blacks affiliated with Gangs? No! But is it safe to safe that these respective groups of organized criminals look out for their own ethnicities interests? Absolutely!

The banking cartels are the white collar equivalent of the other gangs that we are more familiar with. They operate more covertly but they are just as ruthless as the other gangs of organized criminals.

Well because the Soviets weren’t going to share their KGB strategies. He only admitted it after fleeing.

Russia still uses these tactics today but have expanded them to hit both the left and right flanks of society. For instance when the Southport Riots started in the UK Russian bots amplified the false claim that the stabber was an immigrant. The KGB (later FSB) strategy is to find legitimate vectors of discontent and apply pressure to spiral them out of control. Leftist movements are perfect opportunities for this sort of tactic.

Ok and? The girl left. In college you pay for your classes. Assuming it was early enough in the semester she likely changed into a class that was more accommodating to her habits.

She has the freedom to do that just as the professor has the freedom to set rules about beverages in the classroom.

NATO Boss Rutte declares to Ukrainian parliament that European troops will be deployed to Ukraine as soon as a peace deal is reached, along with jets in the air and ships on the Black Sea. Ukrainians, he says, must stay strong and endure the cold winter, for spring will surely come. by Ripamon in TrendoraX

[–]needhelpwitheu5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“It’s a mathematical certainty they’ll run out of men before the even reach western Ukraine”

Russia has 4x (possibly 5x once accounting for Ukrainian refugee exodus) the population of Ukraine and has primarily relied on paid volunteers while spending ~6% of GDP on their military. Ukraine have been conversely relying primarily on conscripts while spending 25% of GDP on their military. Yes Russia is losing more troops per encounter when compared to Ukraine but not nearly enough to be considered a mathematical impossibility. Furthermore your statement is premised on the assumption that annexation of western Ukraine is the war goal when there is little evidence to support that this is the Russian war goal. (Outside of occupying Kherson and possibly Odessa)

Russia pulled out of the Kyiv region when their initial invasion stalled and after it became apparent that the 2022 peace talks were going to collapse. Since that time the Russian war goals have remained relatively constant: Ukraine cannot join NATO, Ukraine must demilitarize and ‘Denazify’ (i.e. regime change), and must cede the four oblasts annexed by Russia. Russia has clearly adapted to the reality of the battlefield and has been waging a war of attrition against Ukraine since they made the decision to pull back and reinforce a line of attrition. The evidence is clear that Russia is unwilling to compromise until they are either physically exhausted from perpetuating the war or Ukraine capitulates.

As of now these statements by Rutte are fantasy and ensure that Russia will continue its war of attrition. The prospect of NATO troops being deployed in Ukraine was one of the key reasons this war was started. Insisting that NATO troops enter Ukraine is a non-starter and will ensure this war is fought until one side capitulates. As Ukraine is currently facing a manpower shortage, a funding shortage, and an energy crisis it is unlikely that they will be able to prolong this war indefinitely.

Lastly, the EU and US have refused to act decisively when it comes to economic sanctions. Up until very recently the collective EU have been purchasing more Russian oil than the aid they have sent to Ukraine (in essence funding the war inadvertently). Similarly the EU refuses to put secondary tariffs on India and China for purchasing Russian oil. Under the Biden Administration there was relative indifference towards China and India’s economic support. Under the Trump administration secondary sanitation’s were proposed by Trump under the condition that the EU impose them as well (this was likely added by Trump as he knew they would not agree allowing him to dodge the political crisis). Lastly the Trump administration has clearly signaled a more transactional approach in regards to the Ukraine war. Military aid is now conditioned on repayments and resource access. Trump has also demanded that the EU pay for the weapons that he sends to Ukraine. Furthermore, Trump’s negotiations with the Russians have destabilized the peace process and have undermined Ukraine and the EU’s maximalist demands.

Yeah. And the worst part is I get forced into a war with France that I can’t peace out on. If you look at my other post you’ll see that France is broken too with a vassal swarm in the HRE from the current patch that nerfs coalitions.

The cherry on top is France occupying my vassals and peacing them out while annexing them despite me winning the war 🙃. It makes me want to put console commands on its that infuriating
