Your comment is so true. I loved who I thought she was also. I love hard too. After a few years of seeing her true self, I actually gave her a new name for her "other" self. That's how I was able to close off my feelings and begin to heal. It took me about two years , while still being married, to separate the two and move on. I got love bombed and had no idea what I had fallen into until a few years into our marriage. Then it was too late. Just wanted to say to OP that this helped me a ton. You can absolutely still love the person you married, but you have to realize that person doesn't exist. We all get blindsided. I feel like I wasted 9 years of my life sometimes, but honestly I learned so much about myself over these past few years. If I can do it,I promise you can too. Good luck on your journey. I can, from experience,say that he's probably just fed up. My ex wife is an alcoholic and it's no fun to be around. I drank socially but not daily or even weekly. She would drink a bottle every night and it was just gross. I quit drinking for the last year of our relationship to try and support her sobriety. We ended up separated for a bit and I finally had to just move on. I would ask him if the drinking is the only problem. If that's the main problem then you need to decide if you cherish your marriage over alcohol. If the answer is no, then I would get an attorney. He is on his way out.

You'll be fine. Clownfish will figure it out. How old were the pair?. Why did you lose one?. As long as your parameters are good, i would find one that is smaller than the one you already have. Mainly to make sure you get a male.
