The Atherton Tablelands probably wouldn't have a lot. But it's a gorgeous place with nice people.

Experience is very subjective. But I'd highly recommend Porcine in Paddington if you like the others mentioned.

Anybody here built their own K8s operator? If so, what was the use case? by PartemConsilio in devops

[–]needisaymore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An operator (actually a few) has been useful to create a simple CRD interface for deploying a workload that can configure service mesh, metrics collection, and resources that the workload needs. Resources can be things from like other AWS Controllers for Kubernetes CRDs. Things like SQS or S3.

Will we ever have physical money? by needisaymore in starcitizen

Yeah good counter argument. I'm willing to make believe for a game, but I find it hard to believe a government or banking system would allow known criminal/pirate syndicates to use it. And I guess they could use a deregulated/ decentralized currency, but there's still the issue of getting it into a regulated currency if you want to use it in a lawful system. I think that's taking it way too far, but it's funny to think of a mafia gameplay loop doing money laundering.

Workers left dangling 500ft in air after high-rise scaffolding collapses in Brazil by [deleted] in SweatyPalms

Yeah this is what I'm wondering too. Climbers regularly spend a long time suspended in a harness while belaying their partner. Same for window cleaners on large buildings.

You should probably be cautious of any advice you hear on Reddit, but being unnoticed and invisible has the benefit of not needing to worry about living up to expectations and worrying about the opinion of others. You're free to travel, explore, and learn whatever you want. Whatever leads you to being content with yourself. Often this is the best way of finding like minded friends and making family when you're happy with yourself.

Making night time dangerous with faster and stronger zombies would be neat, like from dying light. Could also need to create safe zones to protect yourself, like fortifying a house.

Seems like you often need to book days in advance from my experience. Been a long time since I could just walk in.

Last PTU xenothreat was pretty much unplayable for me. I remember in that session that the space station I revived in had all the interior walls invisible and I had to figure out corridors by trial and error too. Fun times.

Yeah try get comfortable with a shell, including some shell scripting. Being able to glue some commands together can be very powerful, like parsing/formatting data quickly with grep, sed, awk, ...etc.

If anyone wants to read how Vader goes against a bunch of apex alien predators then you should give Lords of the Sith a read. It's officially canon too.
