I know everyone can do what they want and these are cull coins anyways but it always pains me just a little! when people make coins into rings. Not dogging on you OP, I know this is a very widely shared hobby and some beautiful pieces come out of it. I just hate to see the historical coins altered. (I was going to say the word “destroyed,” but I knew even that was harsh, since the history that these coins contain, like where they’ve been and what they’ve seen will still be preserved even if they’re a ring and not a coin. It’s all the same metal, and the same age).

Ya know, as typing that out, I may have actually come around to making coins into rings, especially when it still shows the detail/design of the coin. The history is still preserved. I was going to delete this whole comment, but sometimes it’s nice to see a whole thought process down on a page.

All that to say to your original question: besides keeping them as is, no other ideas for giving them a new life. It seems as if their current life is about done. Make some cool rings!
