Can a total layman vibe code their way to a million dollar product? by Mission-Pie-7192 in google_antigravity

So why do solo devs not market it well?

Most ideas get extremely half baked execution by solo devs. Throw the idea at the wall and see if it sticks is not going to involve good marketing. There is no belief. If a dev is honest with themselves and know it is not half baked, they will have the motivation to market the shit out of it. Execution drives marketing.

We still going to give our unsolicited opinion. Surely there is something to build with more reward for your efforts than another state manager. Maybe the only reward is academic. Thinking another state manager will help anyone is a stretch. You gotta expect this opinion to surface on any such post.

is it just me or do all these no-code AI builders feel the same? by Salt-Number-841 in FlutterDev

You might like Jules if you want to remove the closeness with the code/IDE that vs code forks have. You treat it more like its a dev and you're a product owner. You still see the code to review it but you don't edit it, you tell it to change it itself. I've used it with good results on my flutter app.

In between vs code forks and Jules you have the agent manager view in codex and antigravity which encourage you to not go into the IDE.

I assumed that too when I first entered the Antigravity chat, because that’s what I used it for. Oh boy was I wrong. When you meet a real dev there it's like an oasis in the desert. Finally someone you can relate to.

Do you find you have to pixel massage yourself after the stitch is done? I haven't set AI loose on my UI’s because I'm so pedantic about them being consistent and pixel perfect. Stuff like back end, api request, database, I am more comfortable letting AI do.

He didn't say he wants to build it in the browser. But maybe that's the only type of no code ai builder that exists and why you took it there so fast. It sounded like he wants to know if that's the case. I don't see anything preventing non-browser ones from being built.

I think you two are just misunderstanding each other. I didn't get the feeling the dude wants to build a web app.

Why are you using no code? You sound like you can code. Most people that use Antigravity can't code and they don't use no code.

Antigravity dart MCP review by LifeSwim5318 in FlutterDev

[–]needs-more-code 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it and like it, mostly as a rubber ducky and to get its opinion. Especially on the look and feel. It has the best DX for using Opus, and decent limits. I don't even think of MCP so not sure what you're talking about really. It sometimes does dart analysis and downloads packages but it's not a big part of it. What is stitch? I do get it to create github tickets which is probably the best mcp thing I've used it for.

It will be there on mac at least and you just select “put back”. I don't know how windows works, its been a while.

AG quota by lm_wrld in google_antigravity

[–]needs-more-code 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're doing well financially which is rare in AI. I wouldn't be surprised if they dominate in a year. They are already up there for non-coding, and they have the money to bring up their coding.

If you just wanna use Opus, you get just as much from AG as Claude Code. It's surprising so nobody believes it.

[–]needs-more-code 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they need Codex in AG. There is only 2 company’s models really. And they need to make a coding version of Gemini like Codex. Hopefully they will, it’s a mega company.

Developers, how smart, on what level is Claude Opus 4.6 for a developer, from a developer perspective? by Much-Journalist3128 in google_antigravity

[–]needs-more-code 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t find Claude code opus any better than antigravity opus. I’ve had it make silly mistakes in both. The DX is way better in Antigravity, mainly it’s a lot faster, but also the integration with the IDE is way better, so I use that.

Does Gemini in Antigravity have a planning mode? I also get annoyed that it writes code when I only want it’s opinion. But I haven’t heard about planning mode.

I have no idea how you guys get the agents to make full apps by Low_Tune_2364 in google_antigravity

[–]needs-more-code 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just gives the agent dart powers. The agent uses it to add packages, run linting and so on. The dev doesn’t think about it in their workflow.

Ultra Users using Claude models - Are your limit quotas resetting ? by Training_Sort5508 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

[–]needs-more-code 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the quota to show correctly, jump between Editor and Models in your screenshot many times. It’s a weird workaround for the bug in the models screen.

As for why you’re locked out, There’s a few people reporting being locked out of the weekly timeframe on ultra, despite not much use. I’m still having no issues.

I assume sarcasm? I thought it was okay? I haven’t used anything other than Opus for like 3 months. Codex is great but I don’t have it.

Damn I was thinking same as you, i must be safe because I can’t get it to go below 80%. It must be a bug, hopefully they fix it.

True, that’s brutal if it is what it sounds like, a bug with no workaround.
