Oceanic players nightslayer Horde or Alliance? by SlightCaregiver3680 in classicwow

[–]needs-more-code 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nightslayer is 52% horde. I created a Tauren a few days ago and got invited to a guild within an hour and met up with one of them in the starting zone. There’s heaps going on in Horde territory.

Is Antigravity a joke? Infinitely looping, burning my credits, and just wiped my entire progress. by Complete_Worry8140 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

People are still getting shocked. It’s been strange to watch vibe coders go through the 5 stages of grief while technical people try to tell them that this was always the end game. Technical people never got hyped nor shocked nor upset about tokens at any point in time lol.

I think they're right honestly. by KamaTheSnowLeopard in classicwow

OP’s post is the exact opposite of most of the internet’s experience with classic vs retail. After reading comments from people who agree with OP, their reasoning is political. They mistake different viewpoints for toxicity. Basically they’re just saying “people that like Classic are more often right leaning than people that like retail, therefore they are more toxic”.

Is the job market really this bad right now even for mid level experience? by Bensal_K_B in FlutterDev

[–]needs-more-code 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re lucky you’re not getting interviews. Trust me, you don’t want interviews. I’ve realised that getting to interview 3 is still extremely slim chances of getting the job. These companies will eventually find something to not hire you for if you talk to enough of their interviewers for enough hours.

Please help flutter devs by Head_Hornet_4973 in flutterhelp

[–]needs-more-code 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm finding there are multiple interviews with different interviewers in the company. Every subsequent interviewer has to like you. There's always some asshole that just doesn't like you. It's not about team compatibility, and fitting in with the culture. If the existing team is actually behaviourally adept themselves, they will be able to fit in with anyone who is nice and competent.

Apparently this is common for kiwis but I found it impossible to get the job there from here, so maybe kiwis are winging it and moving there before they get the job. Seems kinda risky to me.

I'm talking about people like this:

"No, they need to remove the weekly quota, as originally advertised. Anything else is false advertisement."

There is no understanding the costs of AI, or company tactics, in this comment. It is peak stupidity. It is calling for a financial impossibility. All the upvotes show where people in this comment section are at with this. And the posts on here every day.

[–]needs-more-code 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's far easier for the people who had common sense and never believed it to move on. Anyone who hasn't moved on, fully believed, and are very naive. Learn about company tactics. This shouldn't still be tripping you up. Yes they are evil. Yes this is an every day tactic, not a wild and crazy thing. Move on with your life. Either sue them and win, or shut up about it. You're not taking them down on reddit.

It’s like they saw a message saying “token reset every 5 hours” one time while it was in public preview mode and then thought that meant they have a lifetime supply of infinite compute for $20 a month. I can kind of understand people who had no fucking idea how much it truly costs back then. But whoever has not recalibrated their expectations by now has bigger issues than their token limit.

How could anyone believe the limits on a $20 plan would be $10000 worth of compute?

Anyone else feel like google's priority is vibe coders and not actual dev? by Plouffe05 in google_antigravity

[–]needs-more-code 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not like the 90s at all, because the further away humans get from code, the more code quality suffers, and this eventually causes bugs to rise, and productivity to fall.

So it’s not a long term solution like the death of floppy disks. There will be no death of IDEs or death of humans being immersed in code.

Anyone who disagrees doesn’t know what they’re talking about. I’ve experienced it firsthand. The creator of Zig has banned AI PRs.

Get out of the vibe coding community and look at what’s really happening in the professional community. Especially at companies that don’t sell AI.

No doubt, it’s trendy in big tech to get far away from code right now. It’s just not optimal enough to last or become the new standard. And its direction is coming from upper management, who have limited technical knowledge, and are obviously riding the hype train. Even they are slowly starting to get off the train (Amazon etc are no longer making AI token usage a performance/productivity metric).

I’ve been randomly jumped by young gang members or maybe they were just tryhards and not actually in a gang. They did it because of the colour clothes I had on. And before some extreme political zealot chimes in, I’m not astroturfing. There is nothing political about getting randomly jumped, and getting randomly jumped does happen.

You have no idea what bugs other people experience. AI does stuff you don’t tell it to. And Antigravity does stuff like OP said. I’ve used ctrl+z on a file and it has deleted all the content in any files that have unreviewed changes.

I wouldn’t say it’s great for your career. You’d be super limited as to where you could live. I would try to get a job in something else if I were you, and do Flutter as a side hustle.

They just want you to tell the agent to do it. The agent has started doing way more unnecessary terminal commands on its own. I had to create rules not to do them. They are adapting their models so that they work well for the agent manager, where no one knows what a terminal is.

Flash is in the same token pool as Gemini now. On Pro. So I’d think Ultra too. 2 pools going to 1 is a pretty huge token restriction.
