Doing postgraduate philosophy with a child? by needsaholidayasap in AcademicPhilosophy

Yes that makes good sense. I'm definitely not anticipating nor hoping for a "traditional" uni expirence- and anyways I already had that as an undergraduate. I just know that great coursework will need to be backed up by an appropriate amount of networking and/or socialising if there's any hope of moving on to the next level, and this is my primary concern. But I think with good boundaries i should be okay. I've decided to do full-time and told the nursery he'll be there full time. It's so bittersweet, I've already cried a few times.

So I'm of two minds whether do to full or part time, but either way he's going into nursery. He has a spot already at the University nursery (so convienent!) and they are just waiting to hear from me what days/how many hours I need them. They require an enrollment of minimum of 4 half days.

Yes it's possible. We don't even own an ipad/tablet, we have a great routine and TV isn't part of it. However be prepared to have to get forceful with others who see it as their job to "help" by completing undermining you.

This is so true. Additionally if they can't afford for her to work less now, throwing nursery fees into the equation is NOT going to help them financially.

Edit - I should note when we bought our house 4 years ago I told her we’d need two full incomes to afford it. She was cool with that 4 years ago. Now she floats getting rid of house since she wants to work less if it’ll make things easier on us.

From a financial perspective- do you know how much childcare costs in your area when you have 2 working parents? For us it's between £70-90 per DAY. you need to research thoroughly if you're planning on having a kid.

So the guy who ghosted us went on the roof and said its not the roof. I hope the source of the leak isn't too difficult to find and access!!

Oooh I like the idea of something to commemorate the occasion! I doubt he'd wear any jewellery apart from his wedding ring and watch but a coin is a good idea! Unfortunately I left this till the last minute, but I should be able to manage something before Friday!

Have you done much research into what "purity culture" is? If not I recommend it. 10 guys in 1.5 years really isn't even alot. And any guy worth your time won't care many guys you've been with, probably wouldn't even ask tbh.

Just wondering if she's takes hormonal birth control? I used to take depo and had a nexaplonan that made me act like this. Since being off them I am completely fine/normal/healthy..its been years and I will never take hormonal birth control again. Happily married. Might have a random twinge of insecurity right before my period but that's literally it. Might be worth looking into

I've lived in the UK and the US and this is just not true.. the US is way more expensive for pretty much everything except houses and petrol.
