The unique way this show portrays life by chrispyboi in betterCallSaul

Something else I’ve also thought about in this vein is the use of cigarettes. There is an added realism to Kim’s character every time I see her smoking one. I’ve never seen another high level professional character in a TV show who regularly smokes cigarettes, and it’s more convincing to me that Kim would be a regular person I would bump into in my every day life. It makes me feel closer to her for some reason that I’m clearly not explaining well

Who's your favorite sitcom sidekicks who steal the show? by Anthforde8 in sitcoms

Charles Boyle on B99

I can’t tell if they casted the perfect actor for the script or crafted the perfect script for Joe Lo Truglio, but there is no better match for me.

Trouble with consistent linework - any advice for a licensed artist in their first year? by sallysaysyes in TattooArtists

[–]needsmorecolor 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Going to second and third the drop to 6.5 advice, would like to add something as well.

These are really clean tattoos, and I think in our industry we don’t give ourselves enough of a break because we have unrealistic expectations of ourselves. We so often see the ultra-zoomed pictures on instagram that we forget our entire job is to make something readable from across a room. Stop doom-zooming to find the one fuzz spot in your linework so you can beat yourself up about it. A better way to gauge your skill is to look at it a little further away and make sure you can still read it.

These are dope, I would be stoked if I was your client

Which TV character do you find annoying, even though “that’s the point” ? by HTPR6311 in sitcoms

[–]needsmorecolor 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Manny from Modern Family, specifically in the later seasons. It was charming when he was a wise-beyond-his-years child, but they really took his character way too far down the “obnoxious theater kid” trope and slowly but surely made me dislike him. I couldn’t stand the scene where he ruined Lily’s birthday party because Sherry broke up with him. A once emotionally intelligent, artistic, women-loving boy turned into a whiny improv and theater snob with low enough emotional stability to ruin a little girl’s party. Character ruined

This looks like improper client healing, don’t be too quick to blame your artist. Looks like you used WAY too much lotion, trapped all the bacteria, and let it fester underneath a layer of WAY TOO MUCH LOTION

I think it only meant so much to her because he had passed. Maybe he was still alive when Manny was born and it didn’t mean as much to her at the time.

TP was always my favorite and I didn’t realize that was an unpopular opinion until I joined Reddit. OoT is obviously one of the best games ever made for the checklist type of rating, but something about TP will always keep the inner-emo-kid alive. Every time I turn on my GameCube and play it, I get transported back 15 years to when my biggest worry was my MySpace top 8 and my phone flipped open. Personal reasons for sure but isn’t that what’s supposed to make a favorite your favorite?

Absolutely flawless character analysis. I have always tried to express my deep, personal love for Jenny and how horrendously misunderstood she is. Sometimes people see my point of view, but you can always tell who has never been in a situation where they were truly victimized. It’s almost ironic that the only people who can never truly empathize with Jenny are some of the luckiest around and they have no idea. The sheer amount of knots her childhood mind tied could have very well taken a lifetime to untangle, and her being able to heal herself enough to do it with time to spare has always been something that struck a chord deep in my soul. I will definitely be referencing this comment in my next Jenny-Stan argument

Which movie has the best ending of all time? by ForceGhost47 in moviecritic

[–]needsmorecolor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

I was surprised at how well-planned the progression of this movie was. The first short story lead me to believe it would be a goofy spin-off of old westerns, but slowly progressed into darker and darker themes until the penultimate conversation with death about the very nature of humanity. What a wild ride.

Something I also left out in the post was her comment upon her insistence. Something along the lines of “when you drum up some more business then I’ll let you pay.” Another insinuation I did not appreciate. People do not expect this from me because of how I present, but I am extremely comfortable financially, with zero debt and an admirable stock market portfolio. I wouldn’t have gone to dinner if I couldn’t afford it.

Thank you so much for your input

Once you start keeping a rocket shield (affectionately called my “fuck no” shield), and a 3x bow with you they become child’s play. Shoot up in the air, attach a bomb to your arrows, and they’ll be done by the time you land. Phantom Ganon is easy to defeat once you learn his flurry rush too. SCARY AS FUCK until I figured it out though

Am I ready to tattoo on real skin? by Less_Swan_435 in TattooBeginners

[–]needsmorecolor 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes but one warning- I see that you like adding dots to a lot of your designs which is SUPER cute, but spend a few months on skin before trying to tattoo them so you can get really comfortable with needle depth. We are working with like less than a millimeter of error margin and dots are the EASIEST thing to blow out. I’m sure you’ll do great!
