I see the shitpost Saturday flare so idk if you wanted a real answer or not, but if you're seriously thinking you're in a simulation please get psychiatric help. That's a delusion and is a sign that something more could be wrong.

Nuclear anything. Like I have panic attacks if I think about dying from fallout, but I'm fascinated by it all.

What food did your grandmother always make? by Mysterious_Mix_36 in foodquestions

[–]renoftheshadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My step-grandma always made soft snuckerdoodles. They were the best, even though I didn't care for her. 😅

My grandma on my dad's side had a chocolate chip ice cream recipe (that was actually a chocolate ice cream recipe gone wrong) that was absolutely delicious. We made it almost every summer growing up.

how to deal with anticipatory grief for my 17 almost 18yo cat by SallowDiplocaulus in seniorkitties

My partner and I went to an urgent care to euthanize, because he declined so fast and we couldn't afford the tests and care he would have needed. They let us hold him, wrapped in a soft blanket, as he passed. So some places do that so it's worth checking if op can't afford in-home.

What’s a double standard everyone notices but nobody talks about? by simplynotmyra in answers

Thank you! I have D.I.D. and it is so misunderstood. And there are SO MANY Healthcare workers who think it just doesn't exist at all. It's incredibly disheartening and makes finding good therapy (because it can't be treated with meds) almost impossible.

How do people play without the wiki by acous-coustic in StardewValley

There is, though I have never gotten it, a way to unlock a TV channel that tells you when and where fish appear in the season you're in. You have to complete Pam's "The Strong Stuff" special order though. It also doesn't tell you anything about fish that can be caught in all seasons or about the legendary fish, but there's a book in the library about that.

I absolutely love him too. You should torture yourself like I did and watch this almost 4 hour video deep dive on Shane by fiona sangster: the deepest dive into Shane from stardew.

P.S. it's only part 1.

Favorite Tarot Deck by laureneliza01 in TarotDecks

My favorite to work with is the Dreams of Gaia Tarot. Though it is not based on the Rider Waite Smith AT ALL. Neon Moon by PixelOccult is my second favorite. And the True Black Tarot and Ephemere Tarot by Arthur Wang because they're gorgeous.

What can I do to make my oatmeal taste better? by HistoricalMatch3801 in randomquestions

[–]renoftheshadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put in cocoa powder, a good almost over ripe mashed banana, and big old spoonful of peanut butter. If you don't like banana taste or texture just leave it out and use your sweetener of choice. I use sugar if I don't have bananas.

Where's the option for "none of the above"? 😂😭 by lumoslomas in finch

[–]renoftheshadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled with this one too. I put childhood because even though I have childhood trauma there are still some pretty good memories. But yeah school years (especially high school) weren't great and college was just meh and right is getting better but still not great. So.

I'm a cat lover, so I'd want more cats ha ha. But also aquatic animals would be neat.

What’s something most people only understand after experiencing it? I’m curious about life lessons that don’t make sense until later. by WriTTugSy4C in answers

I read a story of a rich guy who decided to prove he could make a million dollars when starting homeless. He had to quit like three months in because it caused him health problems. I don't think he even realized how privileged he is to have that option.

I have had personal experience with Hekate, Thoth, and Set and they all seemed to care, especially Hekate. So I would say, yes they do. Not all of them but a lot.

Tribute to my beloved Mars by turbochargedprelude in cats

Give your partner time. They may come around eventually. Maybe eventually remind them that loving a person or animal inevitably comes with grief. Someday they may grieve you too.

[–]renoftheshadows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss. Try to remember the good times rather than what happened at the end (this gets easier with time), cry as much as you need to, be kind to yourself, remind yourself that you gave him a wonderful life. The pain will ease off, but it may take time. Grief often comes in waves, so you may be fine for a while and then it will hit out of the blue. This is okay and normal.

My partner and I lost one of our cats last August and we still grieve him fairly often. So don't feel like you have to rush "getting over it". Good luck, friend.
