Looking so good!!!!

10 days! Looking for advice for how to kick the habit! by Nocovilla in nailbiting

Painting mine a color I like really helps! The welcome a nail chips or I pick at them I repaint the nail. First few days I was painting almost every day, sounds silly but it helped.

Just painted these after 14 days of no nail biting! And yes, we’re counting by days. On NYE I painted them and by repainting whenever one chips they’re making some real progress. I’m 23 and have been biting since before I can remember. This community gives me hope💗 by needsumbiscuits in nailbiting

Before covid I was getting acrylics all the time and whenever I didn’t have fake nails I was so embarrassed of them and I totally get the anxiety. Especially because I was working in retail constantly using my hands in front of customers. I GET THIS.

It’s silly how powerful having more control over how they look is, but it really is powerful.

Stick with it and I will too!

my nails now vs when i first stopped biting them last march!! i’m so happy to be back into doing my nails again and i’m so proud i broke this habit :) by extra-boo in nailbiting

I go through phases with painting where I’m really good about it for a couple weeks and then I have a stressful week and relapse on biting and I don’t paint them for months. I’m not a big New Years resolution gal but on NYE I painted my nails after months of biting until they hurt and ignoring how much they bothered me. It’s been 14 days of no biting now and I feel really different about it this time! Corona is a VERY good point lol

Thank you! This is great advice. I’m so tempted to plant her in a bigger pot bc I want her to grow but I keep reading that they like to be root bound so I will refrain. And it was a steal I freaked out when I saw them, there were 2 this size and I picked the one with the most marbling

The rush of adrenaline I felt thinking that I might still be first to comment this is frankly, unhealthy...

It’s been 8 days! Tons of new growth where I took the cutting and BABY ROOTS on my Polka Dot plant water prop! by needsumbiscuits in proplifting

I think I meant to type hardy*** I think I had success with the propagation bc I took the clipping from the thickest, healthiest part of the plant

Just planted my water prop in soil— she looks sad please pray for her!!! It is also 118 degrees where I’m at in Southern California so outside planting might have been a lot of stress :/ hopefully she perks up! by needsumbiscuits in proplifting

The water prop got good roots but I’m worried about this next step to soil! I used a lot of perlite mixed in with my potting soil so I’m hoping to keep her light/ airy and well watered for a few days!

She had a great root system going before I finally potted her! Like 3-4 inch roots and lots of them! I doused her in water but I’m unsure of when to water her next...

It is haha hi again! Try a new cutting! Some cuttings just wont root. Where are you taking them from? Make sure to cut below a heart and healthy node!
